Yes. You need a travel converte that will both physically adapt your plugs to the sockets, and convert the socket's voltage to one that is good for your appliances.

American lead, how do i convert

How to convert an American lead will depend on where you are. You can buy a universal adapter at most travel stores, but first of all consider the local supply voltage. US power is delivered at 110 volts. Australia, Europe and much of the world have a 220 to 240 volt supply. Connecting a 110 volt machine to a 220 volt supply will create smoke and potentially flames - I've seen a number of disasters. Some machines are made to operate across both supplies. Check the label on the back of the machine, near where the power cable plugs in. If it reads 110 - 220 volt you should be OK. Your local Brother dealer should be able to supply a local market power cable for you. They cost around $30 in Australia.

Howw do you make a Samsung bd-F5700 blue ray player operate on a 240 volt power supply

You'll need to bring the voltage down to 110-120 volt. Travel converters do this cheap and effective. The player only uses 12 Watt according to the manual. You could use an old 3 prong extension cord to cut of the connector to connect to your power supply. Get the converter below and plug it into the adapter, who then will fit in the extension cord.

Solis 365 royal hair vac I was wondering if it was possible to use this product in australia due to the voltage difference and if there is a product made to suit australian voltage or if an adaptor...

There are products called Step Up transformers/Step Down (Voltage Converters) that can be used. We use these For our 220VAC Australian manufactured lasers when we need to run them in a Dr.'s office that only has US 110VAC.

Info from a website:
Electrical voltage in USA is 110 voltwhereas; the voltage in most of the foreign countries is 220V to 240 volt. A voltage converter / transformer, also known as power converter are usedto convert electricity coming out of the wall to match the voltage of yourdevice. These Voltage transformers or converters can be used safely withRefrigerators, Microwaves, Juicers, Blenders, Coffee makers, Power Tools,Stereo Systems, TV's, Video Games, DVDs, Hair dryers, Chargers, computersand other electronics when travelling abroad..

Remember to leave at least a 100-percent margin for power surges/spikewhen buying a transformer. Some items, such as Televisions, computermonitors spike when you turn them on. For these products you need to buy avoltage converter transformer that is at least 3 times the items capacity.Power tools, laser printers and heating appliances like coffee makers, toasters, microwaves, Halogen, Fluorescent bulbs you must leave a marginof 3-4 times.

Voltage transformers are made to convert single phase 110 or 220 volt.American 220 Volt consists of 2 phase of 110 Volt and European 220 Voltconsists of 1 phase of 220 volt.

Volts x Amps = Watts (i.e. 110V x 0.5 AMPS = 55W). Please make sure not torun any appliance with higher wattage then voltage transformer's wattage. This might damage both: your appliance and the transformer!

I hope this helps.

Delonghi problems

Mains voltage in Australia is 230V 50Hz. Travellers from most nations in Asia, Africa and Europe should have appliances that work on the same mains voltage as Australia - therefore you will not need a voltage converter. Notable exceptions to this are Japan, USA and Canada which uses 100/120V 50/60Hz.
If your country does not use appliances within the 230V 50Hz mains voltage range, you will need to purchase a voltage converter. This will transform the voltage from the power outlet into one your appliance can use. You will also need a power adapter.

Can Olevia LT37HVS 37" be used in Europe?

You would need to get the transformer/converter. It will convert the power from 120 to 220. If your going to a military installattion, most of the Housing is American standards. If you plan on living on the economy and not near an American installation then your TV would only be good for your DVD and games. PS3/Xbox. They have satalite and cable, but it all depends on where you will live. On American Soil...your good to go. Off..... doubt it!!
