Paper stuck in fuser unit

Stopped printing, paper jammed in fuser unit. Unable to get it all out (stuck to a roller?) Cannot get at the mechanism to try rolling it out - how can I remove the fuser unit itself? Got the back off, but cannot see how to get any further. User Guide is no help, of course.

Although I still don't know how to get the side covers off, I have managed to get it up and running again. I removed such paper as I could see, switched on and the printer came up and 'died' again BUT the remaining piece of paper had advanced a litle. Did the same again, and the rest of it came up. This time, the printer stayed on - and prints OK.

Not very scientific maybe, but it got me out of trouble.

1) Grab the front cover grip and
open the front cover

2) Pull the handle of the imaging
cartridge toward you, and then
pull out the imaging cartridge.
Note
Do not expose the imaging
cartridge to light for a long period
of time, otherwise decreased
image quality may result.

3) Pull out the jammed media along
the feeding direction.

Note
If media is jammed in the fusing unit,
pull the media downward to remove
it.
CAUTION:
The fusing unit is extremely hot.
Touching any part near the fusing
unit may result in burns.
Do not touch the image transfer
roller inside the printer, otherwise
decreased image quality may
result.

4) Align the imaging cartridge with
the guides in the printer, and
then insert the cartridge.
Note
Do not insert the imaging
cartridge at an angle or with
extreme force, otherwise the
printer may be damaged.

5) Press on the front cover grip and
close the front cover.

Step 3: pull the paper downward if stuck in the fuser unit - well, it didn't work this time but it's worth remembering, just in case.

Paper jams in heater

Hello

An overheated fuser is one of the most common causes of a paper jam. When large loads of print jobs are pushed through a printer, the fuser slowly starts to warm up. As the fuser warms up, the heat causes the corners of the printer paper to bend. The hotter the fuser gets, the more the paper bends. Eventually the paper bends so much that it causes the paper to get stuck in the fuser, causing a jam.

If you cannot find any other reason for a continuous printer jam, the problem may be the roller. A cracked roller can easily grab a piece of paper and get it caught. A glazed-over or dirty roller can also cause the paper to get caught on the roller and jam the printer. If the roller is cracked or glazed, you may need to call your print technician or replace the roller.

Brother MFC 7420. New Brother Toner, New Drum, cleaned feed and separator rollers, changed paper, still jamming. Paper stuck around brown fuser roller. What can I do next?

Check whether the fuser rollers are free turning. If the paper is stopped at the ejection roller, the ejection roller needs to be replaced.

HP 2600n Ironing transfer paper jammed around top roller

It is probably stuck permanently, and the fuser will need to be replaced. I believe the "fuser replacement" instructions are in the manual.

Ruppled printed paper cannot exit output tray

you need do follow steps:
1) check fuser unit, the fuser hot roller is hot or not? if not the fuser heater fail.
2) check hot roller should spin with the pressure roller which is against hot roller, and check there is no gap between them, and also nothing pieces paper obstruct there, because if it losts pressure balance that jam should be occured there.
3) check the output roller after fuser unit(if there is), check them are spin or not, this roller kit use for pull the paper goes out the tray. if not spin means the roller drive belt or gear loosen.
3) check paper sensor that is micro swtch around pulling roller or output area and to clean it (could be a optical sensor).
hope help you something fixed, please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks! keep in touch your question

There was a paper jam, I cleared it and it will not reset. The machine won't print at all, just keeps showing paper jam.

There are flag sensors in each machine. The have to sence if the paper is moving properly through the machine. They are sometimes black in color, that flag sensor might be jammed in an up postion, or broken look at where that paper stopped and look for a flapper toggle unit that senses the paper. There also might be paper still in the machine, check the fuser unit, the hot area look to see if paper has wrapped around the upper fuser roller.

Error 13-jam paper HP Laser 4+

HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus and 4m Plus Series Printers - False Error Message 13 PAPER JAM ISSUE: After clearing all jammed paper from the HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus, or 4m Plus series printer, the display still reads 13 Paper Jam . Even after cycling the power off and then back on, the error remains. SOLUTION: Open the rear door of the printer. There is a paper sensor near the upper right hand corner of the fusing assembly (just below the right edge of the long yellow warning sticker on the fuser) that can cause paper jam error messages even when there is no jammed paper in the printer. Toggle the thin black plastic lever up and down to make sure it is not stuck or sticky. The lever should be in the down position before closing the back of the printer. If the lever is stuck or missing, the printer will generate a false paper jam message. Hope it will help you !

Labels jamming

Check the entire paper processing path as it sound like either the roller gear is not engaging properly to push the paper out of the top, or the output paper path is somehow blocked, like from a label or something else stuck at the top, the roller gear is damaged, or other obstruction.

Can be tricky people usally damage the fuser rollers removing this jam with pliers/tweezers, it has concertined and stuck after fuser rollers and before exit rollers it will be stuck on the switch best bet is to dismantle properly and remove fuser then dismantle fuser and remove jam, another thing to be concerned about is why did it, three seneraros, Damp paper going threw fuser dries and crincles(use fresh paper from sealed packet), fuser is worn(have fuser replaced), just a bad bit of paper (just have fuser jam removed. Fusrr runs on 240v, covers break easy
