put the vehicle on a lift and have the mechanic observe the entire driveline while its running on the lift with the tires turning..this takes 2 people.. the shafts..and each wheel..look for anything loose or banging..its usually the front end that makes a lot of may also be in the transfer case..normally caused by different gear ratios in each axle..they must match front to rear..

Makes a terrible clanking when I turn it on.

Deb, unplug the saw and open the covers that allow full access to the top and bottom big wheels. Slowly turn the bottom big wheel by hand to see if you can determine what it banging. Perhaps the blade is very loose. This is tightened by turning a handwheel probably located on the very top of the saw. Knowing how tight to make this is pretty much by trial and error, but if you can easily deflect the blade (half-way between the wheels) by 1/4 inch, then it's too loose. If a loose blade is not the problem, remove the blade (wear gloves) and see if both the upper and lower wheels move OK without banging. From there, it depends on what you find!
Good luck,

Sewing machine needle won't go down to catch bobbin thread

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly
also make sure the thread has not come off the thread take up lever
if none of these suggestions help, then you should consider
taking the machine to have it service, to see if it's out of time

I have a clanging near the pulleys. I had a new belt put on and it continously squeeled. I just had it in the shop and they replaced the harmontic balancer and it is still making a clanging noise.

It sounds like you have a bad pulley. I hope this helps you out. I could be any of the pulleys so you will have to check them all. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Like a clanging noise at the front left end of car aroud the wheel, it hapens when i turn left and right. it only clangs like once or twice then stops.

I'm afraid you're going to have to get down on your hands and knees, and inspect all the rubber bushes for the steering/suspension etc.
Also check the c.v. gators which are the rubber surrounds on the drive shafts.
Check for signs of leakage, or fresh oil/grease patches etc.
Basically, anything that looks suspicious.
It shouldn't be too difficult to spot.
Good luck with that:)

Washing machine makes a clanging sound during agitation/spin

Without being there to physically see what it's doing or hear the sound, I would say there's 3 possibilities. 1) drive block is slipping on basket drive / brake assembly. 2) basket drive assembly is worn where drive block seats onto it. 3) clutch slipping.
