My Nokia 3250 is in offline mode(Profile) and refuses to change back to a normal mode.

Try changing its profile from offline to normal or change network selection setting to automatic

Switch your phone off.If that fails,go to the phone profiles and select a different profile for instance:general and activate it.

To change from the offline mode, simply select the general profile on your phone, That is,
Go to menu>settings>profiles>choose General and click on activate and your phone is back online.

if you hold finger on the volume up button dial a box comes up on the bottom of the screen says do you want to stay offline you press no and the phone will reboots itself into normal mode

Your phone might have switched to offline mode accidentally if your keypad is not locked and you have the phone in your pocket/bag.
Press the power button momentarily to bring out a list of profile options, and select "General";
or you can go to Menu -> Settings -> Profiles and choose Normal Mode;
or you can turn the phone completely off and then turn it back on; while the phone boots up you will be asked if you want to exit offline mode -> answer yes
In order to prevent the phone from switching modes, or making inadvertent calls, remember to lock the keypad when the phone is not in use:

offline may mean that the Sim Card was not correctly placed or a fall or shock on the phone has requested you to switch to offline mode and thus you are on that mode. This can be cured by turning off the phone and removing and putting back the Sim Card. You can also just change the settings to General if you had earlier inadvetently chosed the offline mode.
just try this one!!! first you do is to click the power switch for 1 sec. then it appears: switch off,lock key pad,general,silent,etc. you will see a offline word in the screen.... just choose general profile.... and this words will appear "phone is currently in offline mode. change profile to access network?" just choose yes.. i hope it will help your problem....

You may have inadvertently selected the Offlkine profile. Also make sure a sim card is present in the phone. Then follow this procedure:

Select Menu > Control panel > Profiles.

To change a profile, select a profile and Options >Activate. Select a profile other than the Offline.

I couldn't find the above menu items however i found an alternative: press the on/off button on your E71 and select General. The phone will then ask if you want to change from offline mode and allow network access.
