Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players
Sometimes when power is switched on from the mains, the display does not switch on but you can hear the sound of the dvd player motor running, the repetition of power on and off will eventually cause the display to switch on. What might be the problem
The problem is in the capacitors used in the power supply. They can be ordered (they are relatively cheap; about 25 cents apiece) but must be ordered from the internet. You also must be good at de-soldering and soldering the new ones in. The bad capacitors can can be identified by the bulging tops of the cylinders. I had this problem with my Cyber Home DVD recorder, and ended up just replacing all of the capacitors in the PS.

Check the sleep button/reset button, which sometimes gets stuck on this model. It is a small, black button near the source and setup buttons.
