SOURCE: layz spa pump

same problem I had so I seperated the globe by taking out the 5 screws around the middle then removed the nut from the hole the filter sits on its a strange fitting and must have a special key but I improvised by tapping it anticlockwise using a screwdriver and rubber mallet, once open identify the heater unit (it has a single wire going into it and is fastened to a length of metal pipe) and remove it by loosening the clamps at either side and pull the heater free, once free dismantle the plastic casing on the top of the heater inside you will see the live, neutral and earth wires, you can see the live (brown) wire goes to the water flow switch then the temp switch then the heater all I did was bypass the water flow switch by disconnecting the short wire from it going to the heat sensor and replacing it with the brown wire coming from the mains and it works fine now

SOURCE: SPA Filter on while Spa is Heating

you have one jandy valve ( the suction valve in front of the pump) that is not working right when you press spa mode. have someone watch the valves to see if they move when you press spa mode and heat inside the house. if the one in front of the pump does not move and the switch is in operating mode then that valve is bad and will have to be replaced.

SOURCE: my spa heater is saying the spa is 126 degrees so

Use a thermometer to check the actual temp of the water to see if the units temp probe is accurate. Also what is the max temp allowed by the spas safety program...owners manual.
Thanks,

SOURCE: My spa will not heat. The heater shows that it's

When you say that the heater shows that it is working is it the heater that shows this or the Aqualink. If it is the aqualink it could be a temp sensor, probally the water sensor that is in a pipe comeing from the pump. But the first thing Iwant to think of is your temp is set on the Aqualink but the temp is not turned up on the heater. If your heater is not compatiable with the link you need to keep the thermostat at max and set to pool or spa to have it work. If it is compatiable it could be in the wireing between the two or you just may need to be sure the Aqualink is set to read and override the heater. Your menu can walk you through this or your book on the unit. Let me know how you do and we can check for further problems in your heater. If so let me know brand and model of same. Good luck.

Reflections Spa will not heat

Take a Multimeter and measure the voltage at the heater element. If it is getting voltage either 120v or 240v depending on the voltage to the spa, you've got a bad heating element

I have an Aqualink system, spa set to 104, it will heat to 94 and stay there, temp sensor is working, took water sensor out of line, plugged line, assumed heater would just keep heating, it did heat a

The heater may be wired just fine. The aqualink uses its water temp sensor to call for heat based on what you've set the thermostat to on the aqualink. However, most heaters have built in thermostats that over-ride the aqualink. Those thermostats come factory defaulted not to go over 94. Check your heaters manual on how to adjust the thermostat on the heater. Your heater should have its thermostats set to 104 and the aqualink will control the actual temp of the water by calling for heat based on what you've set the thermostat on the aqualink for. Hope this helps.

Pool heater is not working properly

So I assume you have pressed the button by pool to select the pool thermostat? If this doesn't work sounds like another mother board problem, or try powering down the unit a few minutes then restart. IF you haven't pressed the pool button, the read this: The heater comes factory set at 78° F. for the pool mode and 100° F. for the spa mode. If it's in spa mode it's trying to get to 100F. Using the up and down arrows, you can set the thermostats to a minimum temperature of 65° F., or a maximum of 104° F. If you desire to heat only one
body of water, the thermostat is capable of an off mode. As an example, if you only wish to heat the pool and not the spa simply depress and hold the spa down arrow, and the thermostat will lower its setting to 65° F. then go to an off mode. I want to heat the pool from the spa. I have the spa and spa heat on but the spillover wont come on when I have the spa on. When I turn the spa off the heat goes off. What do I do

When your system is put into Spa mode the system draws water from the spa only to the heater to keep the spa at temp, this is why the overflow doesn't work and why you can not heat the pool in spa mode. If you could heat the pool this way it would take a very long time, since the spa is smaller then the pool. You can heat the pool and spa at the same time in pool mode. Water is pulled from the pool, heated and goes back into the pool and spa.

I have an aqualink rs and my spa heater isn't working. I checked the propane and it is full. The heater was working 2 days ago. Now I turn spa and spa heat on the filter pump comes on and the red light...

If the Aqualink is calling for heat then the problem is most likley in the heater. Without more information I can't tell you much more but if nothing has changed in the last couple of days. Before you call anyone be sure to clean your filter and baskets. The heater need a set amount of pressure to run and if things are dirty it won't get that pressure. Good luck.

Heater working but will not heat spa past 80deg

If you have an external by-pass on the pipeing going into the heater you will need to close this down almost all the way (80-90%) if not you have trouble with the internal by-pass. This is inside your manifold on the heater and is letting to much water go past the heater and will need to be replaced. Good luck
