SOURCE: layz spa pump
same problem I had so I seperated the globe by taking out the 5 screws around the middle then removed the nut from the hole the filter sits on its a strange fitting and must have a special key but I improvised by tapping it anticlockwise using a screwdriver and rubber mallet, once open identify the heater unit (it has a single wire going into it and is fastened to a length of metal pipe) and remove it by loosening the clamps at either side and pull the heater free, once free dismantle the plastic casing on the top of the heater inside you will see the live, neutral and earth wires, you can see the live (brown) wire goes to the water flow switch then the temp switch then the heater all I did was bypass the water flow switch by disconnecting the short wire from it going to the heat sensor and replacing it with the brown wire coming from the mains and it works fine now

you have one jandy valve ( the suction valve in front of the pump) that is not working right when you press spa mode. have someone watch the valves to see if they move when you press spa mode and heat inside the house. if the one in front of the pump does not move and the switch is in operating mode then that valve is bad and will have to be replaced.

Use a thermometer to check the actual temp of the water to see if the units temp probe is accurate. Also what is the max temp allowed by the spas safety program...owners manual.

When you say that the heater shows that it is working is it the heater that shows this or the Aqualink. If it is the aqualink it could be a temp sensor, probally the water sensor that is in a pipe comeing from the pump. But the first thing Iwant to think of is your temp is set on the Aqualink but the temp is not turned up on the heater. If your heater is not compatiable with the link you need to keep the thermostat at max and set to pool or spa to have it work. If it is compatiable it could be in the wireing between the two or you just may need to be sure the Aqualink is set to read and override the heater. Your menu can walk you through this or your book on the unit. Let me know how you do and we can check for further problems in your heater. If so let me know brand and model of same. Good luck.
