My nokia 2760 will not turn on. it shows only - test mode - on the screen. what is wrong with he mobilphone

This solution provide some simple tricks on how to diagnose this problem, if encountered that only test mode showed on the LCD screen display, you may try to replace a new battery on the device. If after changing the battery doesn't fix the problem, you may refer to the solution below for it shows the certain components that needs to be remove or replace to fix the problem.
Try to remove or replace the ESD protection diode. This components were composed an ESD protection diode and a capacitor and it result to test mode problem if being damaged.
Hope it helps, if so do rate the solution
Good Luck

I have an older RCA TV and the picture is larger than the screen, you can't see the whole picture. If there are words or anything in the picture it goes off the screen and you can't see it all. Any...

I can only guess at this solution as I have no model# of your TV. For starters and the most simplest solution I would direct you to one of two diodes. You may have to resolder diode location# CR4403 or diode location 4402. In many, many cases this has corrected the RCA problems in this TV. If you can safely remove the board, you will note the top front and to the right of this board on the edge you will see diode CR4402. Look underneath and inspect the solder connection. You may see a cracked ring. Cr4403 is nearby and inspect that one also. Try this first. Thanks for asking and give me a few hands of support!

If it isn't a vibration problem (which light bulb filaments don't like) it may also be because they are on all the lime and have limited life. That's what my wife had going on in her SAAB.

The solution is to solder a diode in series with the ground wire from the lamp with the cathode end of the diode (striped end) away from the lamp. Use radio shack 276-1661 or equivalent 6 amps or more diode. Have this done by a good soldering nerd like me and have them use heat shrink to seal the connections. (Don't use a flame near the battery to shrink the tubing).

The diode reduces the voltage to the bulb, increasing life. Bulb may be a bit dimmer but not noticeable. Note: Solution may mess up bulb indication on fancy cars that may use some bad bulb detection signal on the wire; most dealers wouldn't know unless they are really up to snuff.

No Power-blinks 9 times

I've seen many of the same solutions to this problem, but do I dare take out the G board myself? Will it screw anything else up. You can't get a new G board anymore. Where do you get the diodes and how do you replace them yourself.

Check the zener diodes over by the fuses, where the 2 chokes or load coils are. TThere are 3 or 4 Of the diodes, they are zener diodes. I had the same problem and found it to be one bad zener diode. Check my solution out on the 7202, same thing.

Power switches off for no apparent reason

Fixed it!!!

After I've spend quite some time wasting my time trying to find a solution on these pages, below an actual SOLUTION!!! (after a visit to one of my electronic "boff" buddies:

There's a 15V Zener Diode in the player (D1048 on the board) just next to the power supply (in the "COLD") area of the bottom circuit board.

Replace this with any 15V rated diode, and viola!!! Just keep the wattage right. If you don't know how to use a multimeter, tough.

Should cost you around R0.35 (South African)....too little in US Dollars to even mention (exchange rate's 1:8), so maybe 2c?

Problem is that this diode loses it's "filtering" capabilities after a while, not giving enough power through to the spinning motor.

"No Spin" = "no Disk read = "Power Down".

That's plain English enough I

Tobie Steyn.

PS: If you don't have a solution. please don't post "mine's buggered as well" - it's not helping anyone, *******.
