Re: Clocked Stopped on bottom of screen

With a Comcast remote, press TV at the top of the remote. Next, press Info and a menu will appear with several options including Clock Stopped. Press Info again one or more times and the Clock Stopped message will be removed from your screen.

My remote stopped working and had other universal remotes, I tried all of them and I cant get any to work, what do you suggest the tv is only 1 1/2 yrs old??

What is the brand name to your TV? Setup codes to different brands will differ each other. Without correct match, you can't synchronize both devices. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. it has setup code list to many popular remote controls. Check it, and find out which brand remote control have setup codes to your device, and buy that one according to availability.
Pull up previous posts, either by type in the Brand name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide / Flipcard option. Select view option by the drop-down view box, at the top left or the display window.
Without knowing the exact brand name to your device, it is not possible to anyone to point out certain codes.

I have a Sony tv that the Chanel display stays on the screen. I don't have the orig remote. Any thoughts on that. Thanks.

No universal will work for this, almost any Sony TV remote will with the DISPLAY BUTTON remove that--not too hard to understand, you have to have a Sony remote for any of their TV sets made in last 20 years that has the "display" to get this off the screen.

On Screen Clock Display

Without the original remote or a universal remote that does not have a display button, try unplugging the television for at least 2 minutes and plug the tv back in. This should reset the tv display. If the universal remote has a display button, depress the display button until you get the desired display results.

Screen adjustments??

On the remote, if you use the right and left keys on the pad with the OK sign in the middle, it will adjust the screen to several sizes including Cinema, 16:9, 4:3, Zoom, etc. I, personally, use 16:9 because I, like you, need to see the ticker symbols at the bottom. I hope this helps.
