Ok, some good news and bad news...

When you take the drip tray off, you will notice a little chute/nozzle the drips waste water into the tray when the machine turns on. This nozzle has clogged. Get a paperclip, straighten it and push it into the nozzle to clear the blockage. That\'s the good news/easy bit...

The bigger problem is that inside the machine, the pressure from the nozzle blockage has caused a little hose to pop off the back of the nozzle. Getting to it it to put it back on is a tough job. If the machine is under warranty, go get it fixed. If not, you may choose to send it for repair. It should not be an expensive job.

The upside is that there is little risk of major damage occurring since the hose tends to hang over the ventilation grill at the base of the machine, sending coffee-stained water over your benchtop.

If you are the type that likes to open up stuff and fix things for yourself, then the job is quite straighforward, but does involve removing screws, a couple of electrical connectors and the mainboard which you must swing out to get to the hose inside. Remounting the house can be an absolute bugger of a job - I ended up going out to buy a set of very long-nose pliers to get the job done.

Make sure you clear that nozzle when the hose is off FIRST otherwise the hose will just pop straight off again!

Good luck!

The water doesn't come out from the cofee spout

Once coffee is extracted, its passage from the brew group to the cup is a simple gravity flow. There is no pressure to push its flow.
Layers of dried coffee clog the passage. In your machine this is advanced clogging or the water is not passing through the coffee and being drained into the tray.
To prevent this, use rinse cycle every day after coffee making is completed.
Descale the machine using Manual descaling method.
Do not use Filter cartridges as the same are expensive & ineffective.

It needs to be descaled. After that, turn and try to make coffe but without the cofee. Turn on the steamer nozzle at the same time, that will draw the water to the coffee area, in fact try that first.

Coffee tastes bad in old and new coffee makers

Have you tried first just running distilled water through it, then again with spring water and then test with enough coffee for 1 cup to see how the cofee taste then. Also you may want to use distilled or spring water when making that one cup of cofee to test.

Coffee spilling over the top , not dripping

The caraffe lid must be on the Coffee maker while making coffee.

The lid pushes a opens the hut-of valve in the filter.
If the lid is not on the caraffe, the valve will prevent coffee from dripping out of the filter.

This is to prevent coffee leaking on the lower carafe heating element when you remove the caraffe to quickly pour some coffee. the water accumulates while you do this, so if the machine is still brewing, you should put the carafe with lid back in the cofee maker, to release the accumulated liquid in the filter.

Saeco Vienna machine...after brewing a couple of cups of coffee, water leaks from somewhere and comes out underneath the front grilled tray and onto the counter. Can I do the repair with the proper parts?

Depending on your ability to do some technical and minutious manual work, unmounting and remounting the machine is feasable.

Concerning the leaking, what I've seen most is a leak from the seal under the water tank. Any leaks coming form there would occur even though no coffee would be dispensed. (i.e: Idle mode)

If leak is ONLY occurring when brewing cofee, I would check the following:

1- Check if the water inlet on the back of the brew unit is filled with residue (the inlet looks like the end of a smoke pipe)

2-Open the machine, take out the interior, and verify the water tubes coming in and out of the boiler. They both should be sealed with 2 small o-rings. After time, o-ring tend to expand under heat and may start to leak.

Hope this helps

The cofee maker my dad gave me wont make any coffee

You may need to run a pot of white vinegar and water (50/50) through several times to flush out the line and heater. Make sure that the plate under the pot is getting very hot or it won't pump water from the reservoir. Hope this helps!

No coffee is coming out of the machine...

in our machine we wanted a stronger coffee so we adjusted the auto grinder (where the coffee beans are housed) to the finest setting thinking the finer the grind the stronger the coffee...after doing this the machine wouldnot make coffee...we sent it away while still under warranty and the tech said that the grind selection was too low so they just turned the grinder back up a notch and it worked fine ....dont know if this will help but it's worth a try!
