Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
I would like to set up a password for my wireless linksys at home, so my neighbors won't use it.
If you want to setup the user name and password for your linksys router don't worry .
1. Type 192.168.1.1 on the top of your browser and than it will ask for user name and password
2.Please type default user name and password and now you can see wireless setting and now you can see and change ssid (network name )and password and after changing it click on apply settings technical help contact Linksys Tech support
3. if you don't have access of your router you can reset the router by pressing router reset key at the back ...thanks hope this will help you ..

You need to get into the routers settings and look in the menu for security and select atleast WEP security and either you type a password in to reveal a 8 digit code or type in your own mixture of numbers and letters, which will then have to be entered into each pc when they try to connect. You can also look in the SSID and remove the name or dissable SSID so as your network will not appear on anybody elses wireless searches.
