SOURCE: how to connect a dynex wireless optical mouse w/my windows xp?

Hi, connecting the Dynex Wireless Optical Mouse is easy. First, you need to install the driver for the mouse. It should have come packaged with the mouse, on the CD-ROM. If you don't have the CD-ROM you can download the driver from the website and install it:

http://www.dynexproducts.com/productSearch.html?query=wireless+optical+mouse&mainSearchButton=

Scroll down to "Dynex Wireless Optical Mouse" and click "English" next to "Driver:" to download it, then unzip it and install it.

Once you've installed the driver, all you have to do is put the two AA batteries in the mouse, flip the switch on the bottom to On, and insert the USB receiver into your computer. Your mouse should be usable right away!

Do you have the Dynex driver installed? Also check to make sure there is not a generic mouse driver installed as well -- two drivers might create a conflict.

Did you install the driver before connecting the mouse? If so, press the Connect button on the receiver, and when the light starts flashing, press the Connect button on the mouse. The light should stop flashing, and the mouse should work.

SOURCE: I have a Dynex Wireless Optical Mouse (Model No.

On some computers, the mouse will work as soon as it is plugged in, while on others you'll need to manually set the connection. To do this, plug the USB receiver into the computer, then press the Connect button on the receiver. Once the lights start flashing, press the Connect button on the bottom of the mouse. (Make sure the mouse is turned on first.) It should now make the connection.

Hope that helps!

Something may have happened to break the connection between the mouse and the receiver. You can reset the connection by pressing the Connect button on the receiver. When the light on the receiver starts to flash, press the Connect button on the bottom of the mouse. The connection should be re-established and the light should stop flashing.

How do I install my wireless dynex mouse

The mouse should have come with a CD which has the mouse software on it. Put the CD into your computer and follow the installation instructions. Once the software has been installed, plug the USB receiver (the thin black piece) into your computer. Put a battery in your mouse and turn it on. Then press the Connect button on your receiver, and when the light starts flashing, press the Connect button on the mouse. The light will stop flashing and your mouse should be ready to use.

I have multiple workstations with the same wireless dynex mouse. The ones that are closer together connect to the wrong room and conflict. Any way to change frequency or reduce range?

Unfortunately, there aren't very many settings to adjust for the Dynex wireless mouse. It is only set up to use one frequency, and other than putting up thicker walls or jamming the frequency somehow, there really is no way to reduce the mouse's range.

You can get wireless mice for $10 or $20 at most computer stores, discount stores, and online retailers -- your best bet is to use mice with different frequencies for computers that close together.

Have you installed the driver for the mouse? Did you install it before actually attaching the mouse's USB receiver? The driver should be installed first. You can download it here:

Scroll down to "Dynex Wireless Optical Mouse" and click on "English" next to "Driver:" in order to download it.

If you've already installed the driver and your computer still won't recognize the mouse, press the Connect button on the receiver, wait for the light to flash, and then press the Connect button on the mouse. The light should stop flashing and the mouse should be ready to use.
