Uninstall and Reinstall Windows Media Player
OR
Open up Programs and Features >> "Change/Repair" Windows Media Player.
Does this happen with all files?
Very the file you are trying to play is still there , if it is then create a new play list by allowing WMP to scan your system for playable media. If this fails or the above aint the latter then i'd suggest you uninstall WMP and reinstall it. WMP is in the control panel / add or remove components / Windows Components. You can also log in to microsoft web site and download the latese WMP and install it .
you must uninstall both versions of media player then reboot and install version 11 to do this go to Start/control panel/add remove programs scroll down to media player and uninstall them
From what I was able to read online, it looks like the device will appear in My Computer when you connect it to your PC. After you have connected it, you can open the folder and delete the files just as you would with any other files on your computer.
headphone is the antenna - not particularly strong reception. If your variant of that model was designed for another country, you will not get fm radio.
Delete files using Windows Media Player or the method on p.32 of your manual.
Before we try blaming a faulty cd/dvd unit lets check out faulty Windows Media Player Software.
Is Media Player up to date? Try installing iTunes set as default. That will force the cd/dvd association to iTunes. See if the player works or what the error is...If it works...Then re-open Media player make it the default again and see it what it does.

This is from the Microsoft site:
Windows Media Player cannot find the file. This error message usually indicates the link from an item in Media Library to its associated digital media file is broken. Items in Media Library are links to digital media files that are stored on your computer, a network drive, a removable storage card, an Internet server, or another location. Links can be broken for one of the following reasons:
* A link to a temporary file from the Internet cache (for example, a file from the Temporary Internet Files folder) was added to Media Library and that file was later deleted.
* A link to a digital media file was added to Media Library and the file was later deleted.
To repair a link
Do one of the following:
* If you deleted or moved the file, replace it to its original location.
* If you moved the file, right-click the item in Media Library, click Error Details, and then enter the new location of the file.
To delete a link
Do one of the following:
* Right-click the item in Media Library, click Error Details, and then select the Remove file from Media Library check box.
* Right-click the item in Media Library, and then click Delete from Library.
Good Luck,
Tim
Ok I have same player, same problem. Turns out Windows Media player copied the files into the FM subfolder on the device.
FIX:
connect device to computer. Do not open WIndows media player, instead open windows explorer, in there you should see the ilo as a new drive. Click the drive and go into the FM folder, now select all files and drag them directly to the drive. The secret is the files have to be outside of the FM folder loose in the device (not in any folder)
After that I safley removed the device from the system tray icon and powered it on and the songs were all there. It runs an index process that creates the lists, this takes a second.
