Paper jam 1

Displays the paper jam problem 1 and not let you do anything. I checked the equipment and I have extracted a small piece of paper, but still the same. Apparently neither toner or fuser have problems.

The problem may lie in the fuser or imaging drum; there may still be small pieces of paper jammed in them or any where else along the paper feed roller/trail. If you do remove the fuser or any of the other consumables, make sure the printer is turned off and the power cord removed at the outlet (receptacle). Allow the fuser enough time to cool down. Serious burns (1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns) can occur- the fuser gets extremely hot.

Should you need to remove the imaging drum to inspect it for any more tiny pieces of torn paper, do it in a very dimly lit room; use a black plastic garbage bag to store it in. If the imaging drum is exposed to direct light, especially sunlight- you will damage it completely, or possibly shorten the life of it; very expensive to replace.

If there is serious damage other than what I covered and it is going to cost more than half or 2/3rds of what the printer is worth, you're best option is to buy a new one; and dismantle the damaged printer for its precious metals- you can get some money back at the scrap metal yard for the gold, copper, steel, and aluminum; and recycle the plastic parts for $$ too, if available in your area.

Just give the scrap metal business a call and they can tell you whether it's worth taking apart to sell. You can also try selling it on local ad sites to recuperate the losses. http://www.macstraders.com

SOURCE: Paper jam at fuser

1. Faulty/blocked fuser exit sensor or faulty/blocked POB sensor. The printer thinks paper is present at one of these sensors when there should not be paper present
Verify that the fuser exit sensor is not stuck
If both sensors are working correctly, the most likely cause is the POB sensor is being blocked by the transfer unit. This can happen if the sensor is out of position, or if the transfer unit's white plastic baffle is out of position. Try bending the POB sensor bracket outward slightly to clear the baffle and retest.

Epson 837 printer error

OK, often when removing a paper jam this can happen:

1) - when pulling the jammed paper out you can leave behind a small piece or loosen up another small piece from a previous jam. This piece can then become the 'new' jam by clogging the jam sensor or switch. Use a small flashlight to look done the previous jammed area to see if this is the case.

2) - when pulling the jammed paper out you can 'mis align' or damage the jam sensor (or switch) so that it always registers a jam. this fix may require a technician or repair shop to fix.

Hello,
just carefully check for small pieces of paper inside ot printer,
Look for "lasy" sensor flags etc.
Also remove toner cartridge and check inside for paper.
Good luck!

My printer says it has a paper jam but there isn't anything in it

What is your printer model? You might check for any small pieces of paper left under the rollers. Sometimes a small piece is left when you yank out a jammed paper. Check it out.

Canon mp830 displays error message. Paper output

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

After paper jam printer displays error light and will not function

1. Step 1
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
2. Step 2
Turn off the printer.
3. Step 3
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
4. Step 4
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
5. Step 5
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
6. Step 6

jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep6 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.co.uk/images/a00/3f/31/clear-printer-paper-1.6-800X800.jpg'); }); If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

7. Step 7

jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep7 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.co.uk/images/a00/3f/31/clear-printer-paper-1.7-800X800.jpg'); }); If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper . Don't force anything, though.

8. Step 8
Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
9. Step 9
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

have you tear the paper when removing? there is a small paper left still inside the paper path. open the back side and the top part and check for small paper. I hope that will solve your problem and if think the problem still there the problem is one of the paper sensor actuator is broken or out of place.

Piece of paper 1 inch by 2 inches jammmed and won't eject when I touch start button. I can't even see it with the cover open.

you have to open up your printer covers to extract that jammed paper. However, if you haven't tried tinkering with anything electronic before you will have to seek technical assistance from a qualified expert, but if you're willing and determined to extract that piece of paper, i suggest first you unplug any power connection from your printer, then unscrew the visible screws of the cover which is nearest the jammed piece of paper. never turn any cylinder if it resists your effort, however, try to manually turn cylinders where that small piece of paper is wedged until it comes off. Try to pull down on that piece of paper using a hair puller or forcep.

Paper jam message will not go off - so unable to print . there does not appesr to be anything in the printer. have tried every thing i can think of. help ireally need to print

Do a careful check for anything stuck in the printer- a small piece of paper, paper clip, or even a small piece of broken plastic from the printer itself. Anything that can jam up the works, or hold a paper sense sensor in an activated position can give you a problem like this. Also, the paper sensor itself could have a problem. This sensor is in the paper path somewhere.
