Need Info On My Motherboard

I'd like to upgrade my computer, I'm getting new ram and I was thinking of getting a either a second graphics card, or a new one. I've got a 7800GT right now. Which do you think would be better? Also, how do I find out if my motherboard supports SLI? I've got an Intel BOXD945PSNLK. Thanks in advance!

Re: Need Info On My Motherboard

You can download the manual from Intel at As for the graphics card, get a new one. A medium to high end card will support two monitors if you need it. Regards, Denis

I need help anyone... please help... i have IBM Motherboard NET VISTA Intel Processor 2.66Ghz. with HSF 512MB RAM DDR1... is it good for 3D or MMORPG gamings? like world of tanks, Red alert 3. and mo

Hello you need to add more memory, at least 2 gb, to run these games.

If the mainboard has built in graphic, add a better graphic card on the mainboard.

The ram modules cost about 100 dollars each, and the graphic card aswell.

A computer repair shop can help you with that.

Good luck

I want to use a better vga but it isnt any port

Without a VGA port, you can't use a VGA card, pretty simple stuff.

If you want to add a video card, you will need to get a PCI video card (NOT PCI-E!) There are a number of them out there, and pretty much anything made in the last 3 to 4 years will be better than the on-board video...

Graphic card for GA-8IPE1000 series

HI there.
There are loads of makers of memory and graphics cards out there to choose from.
For the ram i would recommend Corsair or Kingston, you can get this ram as a matching pair so the both run at the same speed, the best ram to get is DDR 400.
As for the graphics card, i recommend ATI radeon X1650 Pro 512MB graphics card.
These upgrades will make your machine purr like a kitten with an excellent gaming experience.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

I hav a nvidia 8400gs graphics card how can i increase its size 1. by sharing it with hard disk sharing it with ram 3.what are the effects of this procedure?

upgrading your video card. There are probably only two basic reasons to upgrade a video card: 1. Your current card has poor performance.or You just "want" faster video performance.
If you think your current video card is performing poorly, there are a couple of things you should do prior to upgrading your video card. The first thing your should do is give your computer a "tune-up". This involves things like running Defrag, Scandisk, virus checkers etc. (for further explanation of tune-up procedures, .
Once you are certain that your computer is performing properly, and your computer is still experiencing slowdowns in video intensive programs, like games or graphic design programs, then the second thing you may need to do is upgrade your computer's main system memory. Inadequate amounts of system RAM will choke your computer's performance. That's why I recommend all newer computers have at least 512 MB of system RAM.

3d error show while running most of modern games/ AGP upgradation

It takes a hell of a computer to run decent games.
My suggestion would be to save your money, to invest in a new computer setup.
if you get a quality graphics card, for example NVidea geforce 8600 or 8800gts et,c.
your system, will not have the Memory, so you,ll then be spending on RAM.
Next step will be that, your CPU isn,t powerful enough, so that,ll be upgraded. And it,s probably already at maximum or thereabouts, for the motherboard.

I always say, if you want to play good games, get a games console.
It,s much cheaper and cost effective, you can spend £700+ to get a computer to play a game, that an xbox 360 will do for £130. Think before you spend.

Computer graphics ,lots of colors then computer crashes i have a asus 8400gs card

Drivers most likely, remove the card and use the onboard or some other card that works. Then boot into windows and install the drivers for the new card, then power off, install the card in question and reboot and then try.
