Question about Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U 42 in. LCD HDTV
The remote for my Aquos 42 inch LCD tv is working well except for the volume control which was working until a week ago. I changed the batteries but that did not help. I can change the volume on the TV directly but not with the remote. When I press the volume control button on the remote the red light on the face of the remote flashes indicating the signal is being sent but the volume bar does not show up across the bottom of the screen and the volume does not change. The volume bar does show up when I press the mute button but after pressing the mute button a second time to allow for sound I can hear the sound and I can still see the volume bar for approximately 15 seconds but I cannot change the volume. Again right now I can only change the volume directly on the tv, not via the remote. Please advise. Thank you.
User 'rapolley' is absolutely right. One can cycle through the functions to access different options, ie. 'TV', 'Audio', 'DVD', etc. I stumbled upon this solution when I thought my 'Menu' button wasn't working. All I had to do is cycle through the 'Functions' and choose 'Menu' once I get to 'TV'. Thanks!
