I have a packard bell easynote gn45 ms model scg00in004f the has been burnt out. Daughter devastated. She has a replacement laptop but would like her PB working again. Test the laptop using an external monitor If this works fine, then the issue is with the screen, or possibly the vga cable. I notice this is referred to as a compatible screen, was this obtained new, or is it 2nd hand. Although most 15.4 screens fit most 15.4 laptops, some do not display correctly, this might be your problem. If you know the screen to be good I would suspect the connection at the back of the screen
If this still shows issues with an external monitor, you have a problem with your graphics chip on the motherboard
