Calibrating touch screen

I believe I have the information for which you are searching! Please try the following instructions to re-calibrate your Pioneer
touch panel:
NOTE: Pioneer recommends using the supplied pen to make the adjustment.
Step 1: Touch the source icon, then touch OFF to turn the unit off.
(you can display the source icon by touching the screen).
Step 2: Press and hold BAND.
(The 4-point calibration screen opens).
Step 3: Lightly touch the arrow in each corner with the supplied pen. (The arrows turn red when touched; the calibration cannot
complete until all arrows are red. To cancel, press V.ADJ).
Step 4: Press BAND to complete the 4-point calibration.
(The new position data will be saved automatically).
NOTE: Do not turn off the ignition while the unit is saving data.
Hope this helps! Good luck and thank you XXX XXXXX!

Well you should have a calibration setting in the menu's. However if you can't use the touchscreen there should be another way to re-calibrate it. Here is the Owners Manual.
Try the reset deatiled on Page 14, I'm sorry but other than that re-calibration is not detailed in the manual.

Was it working fine before it was de-installed

Touchscreen won't respond when touched. All other functions of unit work. Do the screens just go bad and where/who repairs this?

you may need to reset the unit. after that do a screen recalibration. if that doesn't work the ribbon cable could be broke

If you have already done a recalibration on it, and it's still not working, I'm thinking the touch interface is hosed a little more than you can handle on your own - it may have to be sent out to be repaired. It seems like that right-side portion of the touch panel is just plain worn out. I don't really know of any other way to try and bring it back - you might contact a Jensen dealer and ask if there are any product recalls for such defects though - if this has happened on a large number of the head units, they may issue a recall or at least partial reimbursement for the cost of repair. At this point though, a service dealer will be your best bet.

This works!!!! This saved me $200.00 I am eternally thankful! the key to it is pressing the little reset button. it is very small and only accessable with a pen. If you follow the directions as listed, it will work. I've been born agan for fixya!
