Many problems Hello, I am in Nepal and I am facing a problem since more than 4 months now. my computer crashes and the technician where I bought the computer was reinstalling every time windows, I am no more counting.......changing the hard disk , formating... I have a p35 Platinum. A friend found another guy to solve the problem and when he came here he took out the ram and put it again and the computer started again. I had 2 ram of 1gb before and change them for a 2GB one from a better company. Anyway it doesn't solve the problem and my computer still crashes every day, so I take out the memory card and it starts again asking me to settle the bios and doing scandisk. I don't want to bring him because it can work for sometimes one day without any problem and each and every time I have to reinstall my programms and so,I don't want to do it again I have already spent huge time and if the problem is not solved.... When the crash happens, the computer is hanged no possible to do anything except to close it manually and if not removing and putting again the memory card I will have a message asking me to reboot the computer with cd or that some files W32 are corrupted.Anyway everyday I have a lot of messages from windows recovering from fatal error or some other problems due to some files. The people here think it can come from the motherboard, I am not good at all in informatic, but according to this symptoms if something clear is coming in your mind, it can be very helpful. Here this is Nepal and there is a lack of professionnal people. So, I thank you for you for all the help you can bring me . Warm regards Jean Luc Baumgartner

Well let me try to give my idea of what's is happening;

Well to start with. This could be attributed to climate. Well you gain some experience in computer didn't you?

When reseating ram module try to clean it with soft eraser only its edge connector the one that makes contact to the board. That is one effective way that the technician had miss.

As the ram gets dirty you could get hang up and freezes. Data corruption follows, then hard drive gets also damage. In the long run, that everytime this happens the memory get damage(loose good contact).

Also as many computer crashes it is better to clean all add in peripheral especially the ram card. And have the hddrive a fresh unformatted state then prime it again to install the windows.

Then try to install Ccleaner its free in the web, and a good antivirus.

Too many if I included it all. But this is for the start. It is actually good.

Regards

Hi i have had my dell inspiron 1525 for over 15 months, i have been experiencing problems since day 2 in which the lcd inverter has been changed it seems that the laptop keeps on defaulting... i have in...

If your laptop has warranty in it then you need to check these information
http://www.dell.com/downloads/ap/services/indirect.pdf

If laptop is out of warranty then you can check with any local technician in your area.

Just a suggestion. If you plan to get another laptop in the future try read some article in forums and discussions about which best laptop can be used and with less issues.

Hope this helps.

Dell Inspiron 1545 Problem. Please Help.

Hi there. I've been a Dell Technician for more than 2 years and from what I know, this type of system is not designed for gaming maybe because of its graphics card is integrated with the motherboard and sharing its memory.

However, your system is still under warranty (1-yr limited warranty). If you purchased it from the US, you can call their toll-free phone and have it checked. But if you live outside US, check with the store from where you purchase it so they can run a thourough check on your system.

You may also try using a notebook cooling pad to help your system cool down a bit especially when you're playing games.

Hope this helps!!!
