No power indicator light and no function at all when power is pushhed
This could be a multitude of things. The first step is to make sure your charger is working ok. Many chargers have an indicator light of some sort on the power brick halfway through the cord. Check to see if yours has one, and if so is it on? If not check all the connections, but your charger is probably bad.
If the light is on, the charger is probably fine. It is relatively common for the interior DC jack of laptops to have a bad solder joint or something, especially if the cable has been tugged on or something of the sort. Let me know what you find out and we can decide what to do next!

Hi chris_rovie3.
Based on the information you have provided, the issue might be due to the Battery or the Power settings.
As the issue might be due to the Power Unit in the Notebook, this might also be related to the Hardware problem(Power Unit).
Hence, it would be better to get the Unit examined at the authorized Service Center.
However, you may first try performing the troubleshooting steps which I have mentioned below:
http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&externalId=C390934&fes=true&mdl=PCGK33P
The above link has all the possible troubleshooting steps.
Hence, please try performing all the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the page.
Performing the steps should resolve the issue.
If the issue still persists even after performing all the troubleshooting steps, the issue might be Hardware related.
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance.
