While the game was in the process of saving the console was accidentally turned off. Consequently all of her data was lost. Is there any way to get it back? She is very upset.
She has since started a new file and save it.

Save Your Game File,Format Your Memory Stick. Save Your Important Data Before Formatting. Reinstall R4i software. Copy That Game Rom But Not From Your PC. Now Load This Game And Load Your Saved Game and check.
No. There is not, the DS has no built in recovery. Unless it had an autosave feature and saved itself sometime between the last time you saved and when you turned it off you will just have to start from your last save. Sorry.
I'm sorry to say, but your diary1 data is gone for good.
The way a save file works is it takes a data picture of that moment in the game, so everything you have done is remembered. However, another part of the saving process is it erases the data that was being stored there before, because when you tell it to save, you are telling it, even if by accident, that that old data is obsolete and you no longer need it, you need this data here now that you are giving it.
And unfortunately, games aren't like computers with recycling bins that you can go into and retrieve something you accidentally deleted. There is only so much memory in a game, so it can't waste space with something you told it to get rid of.
I feel your pain, I've done the same thing in my Harvest Moon game on the GBA. I've also deleted my Pokemon Colloseum file by accident that had my level 98 Blaziken on it. All you can do is start over.
Hey there, may have received a "short" in your PSP. What I would reccomend firstly is this...Go ahead and take the battery out of your PSP and then reseat it. Unfortunately, if your PSP is turning on right now, but you have no saved data, the memory stick may have been wiped...unless of course you have other data and just not the data of the game your playing. Data is stored in the onboard memory of the PSP and unfortunately when the game recieves a shock like you've said it lets go of the memory, much like someone pushing you in the hallway and you lose your books. I hope this gave you ideas, and/or solved your problem.
The sims 2 on nintendo ds has a tendancy to just freeze randomly, I have this game and am very fustrated when I've done about an hour of of missions and then have to switch of the ds and start all over again.. There really is nothing you can do about this. There is a higher chance of the game freezing when it has a big amount of information to process such as when playing as the Rattinator, or going in a lift. My advice would be to save your progress every time a significant part of the game is completed; using the rattinator suit, or going in a lift. That way if it does freeze, you havn't lost anything :)
press the save button. If there is none, it obviously has an auto save. Make sure you close the program properly by quitting to the main menu before pressing the off switch, some games auto save only when you quit the game to the main menu.
