My mobile is damage by water how can i solve this problem

Get the Phone Out of the water. Do NOT power it on.
This may sound too obvious a step but a few extra seconds that your phone spends in water can reduce whatever chances you had of saving your phone.
If however your phone has spent more than a few minutes in water try removing the battery when the whole gadget is under water itself .
Powering up the phone when it is wet causes the maximum damage to your phone.

2 Remove the battery and SIM card
Water + battery is a bad combination for your phone. Remove the battery as soon as possible. SIM card too must be removed immediately as water on SIM cards may erase all your contacts stored in the SIM.
3 Dry the phone as much as possible
Try and pat dry the phone, the battery and the SIM card. Using a paper towel is advisable for removing water quickly.
4 Metciulously Disassemble the phone completely
This is one of the most important steps on your phone's path to recovery. If possible take your phone to a local mobile phone servicing shop and ask him/her top disassemble the phone completely for you. Make sure the circuits are not powered up by the shopkeeper.
If you are worried that disassembling the phone will make your warranty/guarantee void you need to know that phones come with Water Damage indicators which change colors with the slightest hint of water. No phone warranty covers water damage.
5 Dry all the phone components with a dessicant
After disassembling the phone immerse each component in a bowl of uncooked rice / silica gel packs. These dessicants absorb water effectively and draw out water from all nooks and corners of your phone. Heating / Vaporising the water is a bad idea cause that would leave salts on your phone's circuitry and cause corrosion and eventual death of your phone. Hence drying with uncooked rice/silica gels where water is removed by absorption is the best option. Leave it there for a couple of days.
6 Show patience and let every component lie under a table lamp for a couple of days
Now your phone is almost on its way to complete recovery provided you show Adequate patience. You may keep the bowl of rice under a table lamp for this duration . Changing the rice /silica gels though not a mandatory step, can be pretty effective and useful.
7 Assemble , Pray and Switch on!

My daughters LG KS360phone has stopped working - the dealer (optus) say they won't accept it for warranty repairs unless I pay them $50 in case its water damaged - does anyone know how to check for water...

Hi,

The most basic way to check for water damage is to open the back cover and take the battery out. Either on the battery itself or on the phone under the battery there should be a white square or circle. This is called the LDI (liquid damage indicator), if this is still white then there is no water damage. But if this is red or pink there is water damage.

Hope this helps,
Joe

Phone wont turn on

You'll need to take it to a tech so they can clean the water damage and oxides that have accumulated inside. You answered the problem on your post by saying the phone has water damage.

Cell pjone water damage

Turn your phone off for at least a day. Dry off your phone if you haven't already. Take out the battery, dry out the inside of the phone. If you have a sim card, take that out and leave to dry. Leave the battery out of the phone for a day as well. Put it back together after a day and try to power it on. If it doesn't come on, try plugging it in without the battery in. If it works that way, you simply need a new battery.

If this doesn't work you're probably going to have to get a new phone. Your cell phone provider will be able to tell if it's water damaged, so check with them to see if they replace water damaged phones.
