Re: baught brand new logitech speakers but it doesnt work...

Click on the check box only sarround kit in the speaker configration and see to that u have connected all the ports correctly check out with the software turn everything to defaults do a sound test in ac97 configration if all the speakers are working properly then ur speakers are right and there might be some wrong settings in the audio driver software and u can set it right by the above stated method or else reinstall the audio driver and it make the settings as i have stated above if u have have sound blaster card in that software u should make the settings to 5.1 after all these also ur speakers are not working play ur speakers in some other computer which plays these 5.1 channel speakers there also if the problem persists ur speaker is not proper if does not do the setings as i have stated above then the speaker should play the sound

What is wrong with my system? All plugs are in properly and volume is turned up. Blue light on front in lite.

If you're talking about speakers plugged into a Windows computer, then look in the lower right-hand corner near the time, and you should see a speaker icon. Right click that icon, and select "Open Volume Mixer" from the menu that pops up. On the mixer, make sure none of the volume levels are set to Mute.

If the levels look normal, try right-clicking on that speaker icon and selecting "Playback devices" from the menu that pops up. Do you see your speakers there? Is the green check mark on them? If not, click on the speaker, then click the "Set Default" button.

My speakers are plugged in but it says that they're not. I have check the sound card and it is working proporly. WHAT DO I DO???

on the lower right corner of your window you should see a small volume icon.. right click then click adjust audio properties... you should see that the speaker image is clearly seen...if it is blurred then the driver for your sound card is not properly installed or corrupted.... Try also connecting your speaker to the audio out of your tv to see if its working properly...if not check the lead connection for possible open wire.

Hey does anyone know how to setup 5.1 speakers to play music?

ohh i got same speakers. well when you plug them in you should install the driver. you eather go to the company site or if u have windows wista or windows 7 it should install it automaticly. then you right click on the little sound icon that is located o the very right bottom corner of your pc and then click adjust volume properties and then go to high definition sound devise or if that doesnt work then just go to speakers and right click on speakers and click configure and just do it from there. they r gonna ask you to set up the 5.1 ( when u gonna click the 5.1 there will be like choises like mono 2 peakers then 5.1 the 7.1 so just click 5.1) and then just click next next and then close it dowan and restart the system. i hope it works

Sound is very low,it's a new computer&speakers. The speakers are Integrated 5.1 Channel Audio and Dell Speakers.

check properly that the system sound is properly configured and check that the all the speakers are working or not then see that the setting is 5.1 audio channel then also check the volume controller level in the amplifier. if all these settings doesnt work then download srs soundbox from and install it and configure it properly to get a loud sound.

My hp computer will not play my logitech 5.1 speakers right.

Hi mate,

You have to download the latest driver for your soundcard for it to have the 5.1 support. For instance, I had to downloadthe RealTek driver pack and install it, then double click the redRealtek icon in the bottom right hand corner of my screen, and go toadvanced settings and set the preferences for each speaker and each ofthe 3 input ports on my computers sound card.

If you have a Realtek card then, you want the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver R2.11, you can find it here:

and the Vista one is here:

That's for my setup though, if you have a Soundblaster card, it'll be the newest Creative driver you want..
Figureout which one you have from your device manager in the system part ofthe control panel and then google search for the card brand followed bythe word 'driver', and check the download page to make sure it supportsyour card's model number.

Good luck

How do I connect my Logitech X-540 speaker to my laptop an

I just opened my Realtek HD Audio settings and clicked on 5.1 sound.. then assigned the different ports.
Make sure you have the latest audio driver update for your soundcard, and go through the software options, it'll be there somewhere..
If you think you might have a RealTek soundcard, you can find newest Realtek HD audio drivers here:

Has XP support too. Install and reboot, then the 'red' realtek volume icon should appear in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
You'll find the settings manager in there.

Good Luck

X-530 rear and mid speakers not working

Hi guys.
Right, I am not technically minded at all, and all this talk about updating software and plug-ins baffled me. I bought my Logitech speakers 3 days ago, and happily plugged them into the soundcard, only to be puzzled that only my front speakers and subwoofer worked when I played music or video. I then had a brainwave. Using the 3 in 1 port that logitech provided me with, I got myself a phono to mono lead, which you can get at all good electrical stores, (take the three way box with you if you are stuck) Then proceed to plug the three speaker outputs into the box, colour co ordinated, then the phono end of the phono to mono lead in the box at the other side. Then using the single input, plug it into the input of your Soundcard. My soundcard has 8 inputs, so I just kept trying them all until sound came out through my speakers. A much less technical answer than changing all your drivers, creating profiles, fiddling with the deep insides of your PC. Hope this is of some use to you guys!
