Re: Failed to launch PowerProducer Project

I had the same problem and after troubleshooting found out that the project was not opening because I had changed the location of some pictures I used on a slideshow.

It sucks that the project doesn't have it's own version of the slides and requires the photo files to be in the same physical location as they were when you originally created the slide or used the video file.

Not sure if this will help others, but if you moved any files that you used to create your project, try to restore them to their original location and see that fixes it for you...that fixed my problem.

good luck.

Send the iMovie project to iDVD and burn a disc.

The disc won't finalise

Here are the steps (please consider that these are the directions to the Movie Factory, so if you get the Ulead Studio Studio, expect it to vary slightly, probably not too much though)

1) First, it is best to finalize the DVD before editing. This can be done on any type (-R, RW, even RAM I believ, but I have never tried it on RAMs).
-in order to finalize, you must put the DVD into the camcorder and hook it up to its A/C adapter (the wall plug). Find the finalizing but and set your camcorder down (shaking it while finalize may disrupt the process)

2) Eject the DVD from the camcorder and put it into the E-Drive of the computer (the CD/DVD drive)

3) launch Ulead. Creating a new project

4) Once the program opens and you have your basic editing window (with a timeline and all), look for a button that says something like, "import from video DVD", which will allow you to transfer your footage from the DVD to the program, where you can edit.

5) Once you are finished editing, you'll want to export your movie, creating an .avi file, which turns the project file into a standard video file

Hope that wasn't too confusing. I know it seems like a hassel, but its not too bad. Ulead is quite a good program, and its very inexpensive. You can explore other options, but the only one I have found so far to support DVD formats is the Ulead systems.

Hope that helps

How do you save a "project" on regular size dvd?

You need to have DVD burning software. There are many out there, each with their own pros and cons. I use MyDVD 10 Premier from Sonic. It's and easy program that lets you create movies with all the bells & whistles then burn your movie easily to DVD. No matter what software you choose, you need good DVD burning software to get what you want. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need anymore help. Error C:13:02 - Can't recognize any disks

Try to use a cotton swap to 1st clean the recording lens or blow gently on it. Place an empty disc in, format the disc, record a little scene. Turn off camcorder. Place the error disc in the camcorder, turn on the camcorder all the way to play/edit. If this doesn't work turn it to record and try to record. Worked for some of my error disc

Failed creating file

I had to re-do the project, this time using Standard Quality rather than High Quality, and it completed creating the file(s) and writing the DVD.

Format error on disc on handy camcorder

I found a program called "inDisc Recovery" that located the lost VOB file, and saved it to my computer. You put the dvd-r in your computer drive, run the program and then look under "deleted" folder
