Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV
How do I reset my tv
Sorry...to answer the question of "Does the set display anything". NO. I can hear the fan turn on and it appears as though the bulb attempts to come on as I hear a few "clicking sounds" and the screen turns from a completely black to dark gray and then goes back to black. The solid red status light then come on from then on. This process takes roughly a minute to occur.

First before a reset the set must turn on, if the set just sits there with the red LED on you have further problems, so does the set display anything?

Tips for a great answer:
It cannot be reset fully unless it comes on and stays on (the model you have listed here.)
That set should have a blink error code--watch the red power light to see if blinking in a number sequence like 7blinks pause and repeats over and over.
