Chain oilpump clogged

You haven't stated the make and model, but it's a relatively simple process to access the oil pump and blow out with an air-line. Also make sure your oil tank is empty, remove the oil cap and blow through the main oil line back into the tank.. This can then be flushed out.

How.do/i.remove.oilpump

well you failed ot mention the make and model so let me say this, most chainsaws oil pumps are easy removed by taking off the bar and chain , this requires the removal of the clutch cover not a big deal you neeed to take that off to get bar and chain off , then it's a quick twist of a phillips screw driver and out it pops , dont let that little hose go fall back inside unless you enjoy fishing , cus your gonna be fishing for it back , i use a lasso ! of crabbing line string on the hose to keep it close up top
, dont forget to clean your bar oil passage out of saw dust !! i like brakeclean for this job , but dont spray on paint job !!!

Your question may have been mis-categorized under Homelite chainsaws. It maybe should be under engines.

The oil pressure indicator light came on and flashed and a ding sound then it said "STOP" turn off engine. Not sure what is wrong. Oil level is ok.

it can be that your oilpump is packing up or your oil switch is faulty.the best bet is to do a oil presure test to check oilpump then you can work from there

I have a 86 ford f-250 w/ a carbed 460.no fuel to carb. was told i had very low oil pressure.would changing oilpump and assending unit fix my propblem? do i have to pull motor to change oilpump? what...

If you're not getting fuel to the carburetor, check/change your fuel filter, check the fuel pump. And for the oil pressure you can change the oil pressure sending unit to see if thats the problem, for the oil pump the oil pan has to come off, it can be changed without pulling the engine, however you still have to lift the engine up.

Tring to time oilpump but when hole on oilpump shaft is inline the timing mark moves out of timing hole working on harley 63 sportster

Bring the engine to top dead center and find a way to lock the engine in that position. When you lift the oil pump into position, you'll notice the the oil pump drive gear rotates when it engages the pinion gear. You have to turn the pump backwards so that when it rotates while you lift it up, the hole comes into alignment with the slot when fully seated against the case. Just like timing the distributor or magneto.
