If you found a bloated capacitor on the circuit board, that one needs to be replaced not the board. You can see the part number on the capacitor itself. Also please look for any burned IC and neighboring components. If you found additional burned components, it also need to be replace. Contact a pro tv technician to replace it.

SOURCE: Which Replacement Power Board for LNT4665F Samsung LCD TV?

Howdy,
It would be a lot cheaper if you just replace the two caps that have gone bad. Just get a cheap solder pencil from the store and about an inch of solder and you are in business.
The Power Supply Board is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

Thaks for using FIXYA, BIG IRISH.

SOURCE: I have a blown power

The components that you require will be freely available but a stockist will need to know what they are, The transistor will be, for example 2SD1308Q the diode maybe a 1N4007 and capacitor say 33nF. To find the values, look on the component and it will be printed on it along with the manufacturer's idents and date codes etc.
Hope that helps you get a result.

It's not a ceramic capacitor. It's an MOV, [Metal Oxide Veristor]. A protection device. If the set has no other faults, even without this MOV, it should turn ON. If not, contact any service technician. google.com/+GopakumarGopalan

Vertical lines on left side border of screen with no picture there rest of screen alright is new JVC55" tv

Could be a number of things. Likely the power board is fried, and needs new capacitors. This is the most likely case, but could also be that the XY boards are blown too, check their capacitors and replace. This is an easy fix, but not of the power board is blown.

Tv turned off while watching it and wont come back on, this has happened for a second time after having repaired it for the same thing 27 days ago, the tv is but 2 years old and has always been hooked up...

What was the previous problem and solution? is this a different problem than before?

Sounds to me like power isnt getting to the components.. at least to operational voltage where it will illuminate the pdp modual.(screen)

To fix this alot of troubleshooting is required because of the various things that can cause this.

Knowing plasma's pretty well , i am prone to blame this on heat. The lack of engineering prowess has flooded the market with disposable junk without any cooling whatsoever..i can heat a room with my plasma.

So lets see here.. power board could have blown a fuse, a peko hardwired fuse but this will cut all power to the rest of the set. Do you get sound? do you get a series of blinks from the tv's front panel? if so count them..its a error code... if you dont even get power lights..you pwb ( power supply) is dead.. either the secondary side or primary of the board..it has 2 phases to it. primare and secondary.

if the tv doesnt even fire and its completely dead...pwb.

need to know what functions the tv can do right now.

I PLUG MY TV IN MODEL # KP61V80 I SEEN SMOKE COME FROM SMALL BLUE CERAMIC CAP BEHIND THE D TRANSISTOR PWER DO NOT COME ON LIGHT BLINK 4 TIME

You have a faulty power supply.
If the TV is smoking , do not turn it on anymore.
You need to replace either the whole power board, or the capacitor (s) that had blown.

Had the same problem, Insignia 32 would click on then go off. About 6 months ago I found (somewhere on the net) a guy who explained that he changed blown capacitors. As I recall he even posted a picture. I found the blown capacitors and replaced them with larger capacitors (less than $20) problem solved...
But now my screen image is showing only half a picture and is pulsing on a off.
I think I'm going to make a Wii commercial......GL

TV power supply problem

.01 mf 2000 volt. in flyback circuit .it is a timing capacitor. the red high voltage block is bad and that took out the capacitor. also check the horizontal output transistor...it is probably shorted.
