In my lap with windows 8 version netconnection i s not available, but with same wifi modem..NETGEAR N150 WIRELESS D S L Modem Router mobile is net.connected.

Netgear are products that are last to just about 90 days. I am a computer tech and do a lot of house and business calls to TS networks. Most problems come from Netgear, once they switch to another brand, the problem disappear. Even I had a wireless Netgear router, and had to return it because the life span was about 4 month and the complimentary support is only 90 days.
Just by rebooting the modem (turning it off and on) usually fix it for about 8 hours, then the cycle start again. After rebooting the modem/router, delete your saved network from Windows 8 and start fresh. That should work.

How do I permanently disable the radio on a usb wireless adapter?

Hello, welcome to fixya support. If you have the driver of the device already installed, you can disable it completely from the control panel.

For windows 7:
Go to Start-->Control Panel-->Device Manager-->Expand the group named "Network Adapters" find the one corresponding to your netgear device, then right-click on it and click Disable.

Also, you can check for it in the group "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". As mentioned previously from Control Panel , expand that group and if you find a corresponding driver related to netgear adapter, just right-click on it and "Disable".

In case that you already have netgear software installed along with your USB adapter, please disable the radio function from there.

More info on this can be found from the user manual (relevant pages 27, 33, 34).

Does it support windows 8. The box says windows 7

I don't think it matters, as only the install program requires Windows 7.
If you install it manually on wireless you should not have a problem with Windows 8.
Most Windows 8 machines have Wi-I built-in and so do not require a driver as it is already fitted.
See manual for router.

How do i get my hp officejet j4660/j4680 printer to run in windows 8

Try downloading the printer driver for Qindows 8 from the HP WEB site.
If there isn't one for Windows 8 then try a Windows 7 printer driver. It may work but may not have all the functions.
You can download the HP printer drivers from their support WEB site. Please click on this link and select your model printer to download :-

Xerox 2400 scanner dont have disc to load

as suggested by everyone previously, the drivers for this scanner can be found at the link below.

These drivers will allow your scanner to function only if you're installing on Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, and Windows 98. the scanner may not function properly if installed on the newer operating systems such as Windows 7 and Windows 8.

If your PCis running Windows 7 or Windows 8 we suggest you contact Xerox Technical Support on trade your scanner up to a Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatible scanner. Their contact information can be found below.

Installation assistant cannot detect print server

Results of attempting to connect the Netgear Wireless Print Server WGPS606 and the Canon MF6550 multifunction laser printer. I was on the phone for several hours last evening (March 9, until about midnight EDT) with a very competent support agent from Netgear (actually in the Philippines). The Netgear setup Wizard software would not connect the Print Server to my Verizon FiOS wireless G router automatically, so the Netgear support agent walked me through it manually. The Print Server connected that way, for sure. Then we manually attempted to connect the Print Server to my Canon MF6550 and subsequently, my HP 932C Deskjet. Neither printer is on the WGPS606 compatible list, nor is either on the known incompatible list. Now we know - both printers are INCOMPATIBLE with the Netgear WGPS606. I bought both the Netgear Print Server and the Canon MF6550 at Staples on Sat., March 8, 2008, based upon the assurance from Staples staff that it would all work. The question now is whether ANY brand of wireless Print Server will work with the Canon MF6550, or do I have to return this printer and get either a Canon with built in networking (ethernet or wireless) or switch to the Brother equivalent (MFC 8870DW). If I get a (multi-function) printer with built-in Ethernet networking, does the Ethernet capability bypass the USB incompatibility problem, or will the problem remain?
