Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook
I sent my laptop in to get the screen in to get fixed, and now there are a whole bunch of problems. The symptoms are: *Sometimes, when I turn it on, it doesn't start up, it just stays black. *Sometimes, if it is moved abruptly, it will shut down. The screen will go blank, but it will still be on. The light indicating that it is using memory stops blinking. *Sometimes, it'll do the same thing as above without being moved. It just randomly goes black. *Sometimes, it will restart on its own. *Sometimes, it freezes for no apparent reason. *The battery only lasts 30 minutes tops; before I sent it in, it lasted an hour and a half. Things I've done to try to fix it are: *Reinstall windows, which worked for a little bit. *Open up my case, take everything out, and put it all back again, which helped for about 2 weeks, then it started acting up again. I have a feeling that instead of fixing my screen, they switched out my hard drive with another laptop.
Not a hard drive issue I'm afraid. Sounds like they switched the whole system out. So you disassembled the laptop and put it back together? That's more than most of these guys can do. You've got a loose lcd cable, or memory is going bad, or there's a short in the case-palm rest area. All these are common with this model. Good luck
