It's okay, it's just Microsoft's way of saying "they didn't pay us to test the drivers for this or pass our minimum requirements." When you go to install the drivers and/or Palm Desktop, one of the choices on the error will be "continue anyway." Just click on that button and the installation should continue normally.

Software installed successfully. Scanner will not scan. Troubleshooting Assistant insists an error occurred during installation of device. It also says Epson Perfection V500 Photo does not pass...

Try shutting down your computer and then unplug from the power source. Wait a minute then plug it back in and turn on the computer.

Accept the driver installation even though it does not pass Windows Logo testing. Just accept it and continue with the installation.

Device has not pass windows logo testing

Don't worry aboutWindows logo testing. When that window pops up, press the "Continue Anyways" button and all will be fine. Microsoft charges for the Windows logo compataility certification and not all manufacturers want to pay for that. But their programs still work.

Please help, Im trying to install my printer but in the installation process it says (software you are installing has not passed widows logo testing to verify its compatablility with widows XP) I cancelled...

As long as it's a fairly new printer, 2000 +, just when you get to the compatibility screen select to install anyway. This happens because the drivers weren't signed by microsoft for use with xp.

Usb hub driver with my computer

Press "continue anyway" if the option is available.

It just means that the drivers for your usb have not been tested and confirmed working by Microsoft, this will happen with some 3rd party drivers.

Make sure you have system restore enabled in case the drivers do give you a BSOD as you will need to restore your system to an earlier time

Installation conflict with Windows Logo Testing

IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THIS SOFTWARE ON A COMPUTER RUNNING XP AND IT WORKED WELL AND YOU FEEL CONFIDENT WITH THE SOFTWARE, I WOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT THIS SCARE TACTIC YOU ARE GETTING ON THIS NEW COMPUTER. IS THIS NEW COMPUTER RUNNING XP,SP2 AND THE OTHER ONE RUNNING JUST XP OR XP,SP1? THIS MIGHT BE WHY YOU ARE GETTING THIS SCARE SCREEN. IF THIS SOFTWARE HAS BEEN WORKING ON A MACHINE WITH XP, IT WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ON XP.THE LOGO TESTING AND VALIDATION PROGRAM WERE MADE TO STOP PIRATE SOFTWARE. IT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE THIS IS THE CASE HERE. SOME OF THIS LOGO TESTING HAD A LOT TO DO WITH GETTING UPDATED SOFTWARE TO WORK WITH NEWER VERSIONS OF XP AND VISTA. LIKE I SAID IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR PROGRAM I WOULD NOT FEAR THE WARNING AND INSTALL YOUR PROGRAM AND WHEN YOU DO, JUST CHECK FOR ANY UPDATES TO YOUR SOFTWARE.
