Re: blue dot in upper center of sceen

There is a burn spot on the light filter on the blue lcd. you can call a sharp service center to purchase the part, but it's extremely involved to replace.

There is three LCD in the projector red, green and blue. If green LCD make any fault mean line or dot or dots then screen show these line or dot in purple color:
If line is very straight and sharp edges then green LCD is faulty and need to be replaced.

Flickering dots on Benq PB6200 projector.

it's not the lamp. if you've replaced the cords and still have the problem, reset the settings to factory default to make sure the resolution matches. if still not ok, there may be an issue with the main board.

My hitachi cpx 443 lcd projector recently has been projecting blue dots everywhere on the screen, how can I fix this or what is the problem?

How defined are the dots? Is each blue dot limited to the size of a pixel? I suggest you create a 3 slide image in powerpoint slide completely blue, 1 red and one green. then project each image in turn and note what happens with the blue dot. My first thoughts are you have some pixels that are locked. Once that happens if are pretty much stuck with them. Optical it is impossible for a dust on the lens etc to cause them as if the picture is in focus at the screen the dust is way out of the depth of the field, sometimes you can focus the projector so that the point of focus is the lens surface but then the actual content will be way out of focus...none of which has anything to do with your blue dots. Large dot in the middle of the projected display

there is a burned-in spot on the polerizer light filter for the blue lcd. it makes sure the light is blue coming through, that's why it is black on a blue screen, and yellow when the red and green are the only light showing through. it needs to be replaced. pat # PFiLW0213CEZZ.

The image processor must be getting old and worn out. Call Epson or go onto their website and see if it is  a dDIY project or if you will ned to send it in.

Image has big yellow

Hi Zenmast

This is a burnt LCD that will need replacement. If the circle is yellow on a white screen , then it is your blue LCD that will need replacement.

Yamaha LPX 510

I just saw your post & today is Mar 19,2008. I had the same problem and was pissed until I noticed YAMAHA has a good warranty, so I sent it back and they put in NEW OPTICS that are non-organic (I guess the original ones were organic) NOW my picture is much better than when it was new. This picture is so clear I can not believe it.

Random dots and no picture

Okay, I had the same problem exactly.

You can't fix it yourself. I took it to the NEC lab and they changed a card. luckily it was covered by the warranty.
