SOURCE: I have a 1966, 1969 Gibson Guitar. Serial #

According to Gibson's website, your guitar is a 1983 model year guitar made on the 272nd day, in the Kalamazoo plant. If what you have here is a pic of the actual guitar, it is a Gibson SG. How much it's worth is determined by the condition it is in, the rarity of the model, and much more than can be said without a close inspection.

SOURCE: have a fender electric acoutic guitar,,serial

Serial numbers alone won't tell you what model the guitar is, only the date of production, and perhaps the plant that is was made (in certain circumstances). There should be some other identifying numbers in the soundhole label, such as FG-20CE or something similar. That will be your model.

I have a a Yahama FG-331 acoustic guitar that I bought decades ago. I've tried a serial number decoder website and got "serial number not found" The # is 91130461. I'd like more info about it.

Tracing a Yamaha serial number is tricky, as they weren't terribly consistent about it. That serial number could match a guitar made

30th Nov 1979 at the Kaohsiung Factory Taiwan, or
30th Nov 1999 at the YMMI Indonesia factory

If you know the approximate age you may be able to sort that.

Estimated value of Gibson L-5 archtop in good condition, label ser #95606, guaranteed

Well, Gibson reused their serial numbers sometimes, causing confusion. It was made in either 1938 or in 1962 - 1964.

If the serial number is seen in the soundhole it is a 1938 model, if on the headstock (the more modern practice) a 1962- 1964 (no closer records were kept for those years).

Depending on condition Reverb.com values the 1938 model at about US$16000 and the 1963 model at US$9500 - $13500.

For a guitar of that value I would get a professional appraisal certificate. Gruhn's does this from photos for a fee

What is the value of a fender guitar serial number CY07095779

It was made in Taiwan in 2007. The serial number does not tell us the model of the guitar, so no value estimate is possible here. Post the model name in comments if you wish. and whether it is in fact a Squier.

Your guitar was made in Korea in December, 2000. The serial number does not give the model, so a value can't be estimated. Post the model type in comments if you wish.

I would like to know the value of this Martin guitar serial no. 1610197

Your guitar was made at the Nazareth Plant, PA, USA in 2012. This does not give us the model of the guitar, so only an approximate answer is possible, but a top model may be worth around US$2000 depending on condition. Other cheaper 2012 models sell for under US$1000.

For model years 1970 to 1979, the only information available is the first and last serial number produced- no model names or numbers are available. 1973 serial numbers are 75603 to 95496, so your guitar serial number would be towards the end of 1973 in Westerly, RI.

The value is hard to say- the instruments from that era can be valuable: instruments of that era have sold on EBay from between $800.00 to over $2,000.

As always, it's worth exactly what someone will pay for it- Good luck!
