Bought a new 1162 and when let go of trigger it wont stop pumping. I have to disconnect the air hose to get it to stop. I am using between 85 and 100 psi.

Try spraying WD-40 in the air input port and working the trigger many times after reapplying the high pressure hose. This will allow the WD-40 to penetrate the trigger mechanism. Remove the grease cylinder before doing this. Repeat this procedure several times while working the trigger. You may have to repeat the procedure several times to free the trigger internal parts.

Senco sn901xo is leaking air out the top on the nailer.

This is a sign that internal components are sticking. Try spraying a light weight oil like wd 40 down the air inlet and dry firing the gun several times. If that does not work, pop off the top of the gun, that is your exhaust port. Clean the area with contact cleaner, and lube with air tool oil.

The pin on my Dewalt dc616 cordless finish nail gun is ceasing up. How can i lubricate it? can i spray silicon into the nose of the gun?

Hello, W/D here.

The better way is to disconnect the air line from the gun, and place several drops of light oil in the gun while holding the trigger down. Oil daily. Then, re-connect the hose, and fire a few nails into scrap wood.
Another trick is to spray your nails with WD-40 before you load them into the gun.

What would cause a pressure washer to cut off after you pull the handle to get the water started

We used power washers for years

When you pull the trigger, the engine is supposed to accelerate because the back-pressure on the pump is released.

The back-pressure is why you're supposed to keep the gun trigger open when starting the engine. It sounds like you're starting the engine with no water passing through the gun.

Inspect the exhaust port >> if exhaust is clogged with carbon or dirt, then the engine will not run at high speed.

The problem may also be cause by a rusted choke lever. If you notice when a small engine accelerates, the choke lever moves up as the carburetor demands more gas.

Start the engine with water passing through the gun >>> move the choke lever a little bit at a time and see what happens. Keep water going out of the gun. When the surfaces are cool, spray WD-40 on the lever and see if you can free it up. WD-40 is extremely flammable.

If your engine will not fire at all by starting with water passing through the gun, then your gas supply might be limited or your carburetor gummed up. Pull off the rubber gas line that connects to the carburetor and see if gas flows.

Next, pull off the air filter and see if the machine runs good without air filter. You may have clogged air filter.

While the carburetor is exposed, spray WD-40 into carburetor. See if you can get engine up to full throttle while spraying WD-40 into carburetor. Keep spraying the WD-40. Keep the water flowing out of the gun.

If the engine throttles up all the way on WD-40 but won't run without it, then your carburetor is probably gummed up.

Our old power washer won't run with the choke set at full throttle. We just got into the habit of leaving the choke alone. We'd pull off the air filter and spray WD-40 into the carburetor so the engine would spark healthy without messing with the choke at all. And we kept the choke about 2/3 open all the time.

Air seems to be leaking from some where every time i spray it the pressure only last for about 30 seconds

You will have to clean the gun, clean the air intake with wd 40 spry into the air intake(where the air hose connects)and hook the air up and run it,see if it corrects the problem, then re-oil the gun,in the air intake with air tool oil.

Bad air flow. it doesnet seem to be spraying out of the fan correctly. In fact, i don't even get a noticable fan spray. it just sprays a round pattern no matter what i do.

Check none of the air holes int he cap are blocked. Also there is a small wheel adjuster on the left side of the gun, or perhaps even on the top which will adjust fan spray shape.

Of course you need about 30-40 PSI pressure at the gun end for it to spray properly, as well as a compressor with about 12-15cfm air flow rating to use a HVLP gun efficiently.

Air is coming out of the nozzle but the paint is not coming out.

There are different filter screen sizes for different thickness of paint. Even with proper screen size one might need to thin paint. I hope this information is helpful. Please give a rating if this was helpful. Good Luck and have a Great Weekend.

Matco Air Hammer works intermittently ??

Use some wd 40 to clean the gun.Put it in where the air goes in,a lot of it.Put a bunch of it in the gun. Then use some transmision fluid to finalize the cleaning. If this helps the gun, then oil the gun with air tool oil.If this dones not work, then a rebuild would be the next step.

It does nothing

Make sure that you have at least 50 psig of air pressure before you attempt to troubleshoot your impact. 70 is better, 90 is perfect. Impact wrenches are powered by internal sliding vanes, which can sometimes stick. There are a couple of ways to get it going again. Try 1 before going to 2, etc,:
1. Spray W-D 40 or a similar oil into the impact, while you are holding the trigger down. Give it a good shot. Connect the hose and pull the trigger. Tap the sides of the gun with a plastic hammer to help free up the vanes. Repeat. Normally, this is enough to get you back running.
2. Place it in a bucket and cover the gun with W-D 40. Work the anvil end and trigger to work the oil deep into the gun. Ley it soak 1 hour, and repeat the process, working the oil in, and the air out. Remove it from the oil, and drain the oil back into the bucket by holding the trigger down. Hook up the air, and blow it out.
3. Remove the cover on the head that covers the vanes. Make sure that the vanes will slide freely, and that all gaskets and "O" rings are in good condition. If you note any dry areas in the inner parts of the impact, lubricate with W-D 40, and reassemble.
4. I'm all out of ideas.. If that didn't fix it, I'd go get a new one.
Best of luck, --W/D--

Thiner how to

Paint to thinner ratio is 60:40, that is 60% paint and 40% thinner. Sometimes it can be 50:50 depending on different occasion. Remember to MIX IT WELL.
