SOURCE: need a wiring diagram for alpine ktp445 amplifier

bassmekanic_3.jpg For this end of the plug: I would plug the other end of the KTP-445 directly into it and match the color of the wires off the other plug, remember to write them down, but most of the wires look like standard plug wires on most stereo plugs. When this is complete you should be able to snip this end off. Then wire it the wiring harness inside the dash (using the notes you took on the wire colors)

bassmekanic_4.jpg This end of the plug looks to have all the standard wires that most after market stereos have, clip this end off and wire it to the wiring harness on your current stereo. (You may not use all the wires, just tape them off because you probably won't need them anyway)

This is just my opinion on how it would be done, I have not tried this myself. But since most aftermarket stereos have the same kind of wire set up I do believe this could work.

If you decide to try it, please give some feedback so others can figure out how to do this also.

Hi, can you disconnect the wire from the "rem" terminal of the amp? The wire connected here is supposed to come from the head unit and is hot only when the head unit is turned on. It should be a blue wire.

It keeps blowing my fuse for my stock radio. Pushing a 10" sub.. Fuse on my amp is good. In-line fuse is good. But it keeps blowing the radio fuse in my panel.. ? Please help.. Thanks Ryan

Check the amp turn-on wire. It's a blue/white wire running from the radio to the amp. It's probably label REM at the amp. This wire sends a switched 12 volts from the radio to the amp. It is probably shorting out somewhere between the radio and the amp.

Amplifier rem. wire issues- two amps in series, second amp in series turns on first amp does not.

man i hate to break this to ya but you might want to wire your first amp strait off the remote and i would defeinatly not tie it in series like that. It can cause your amps to over heat very easy. Take and wire it from your first amp then to your second but not in series see if that fixes your problem if not you may have one bad amp i dont know

The power cable and the rem cable need to have different power sources. The best thing to hook the rem. to is a power antenna wire, or if you don't have a power antenna, you'd need to hook it to the ign. or accessory wire.

Kole kx2-1440 wiring da amp up right

It is correct to connect the amp turn on wire to the amplifier remote. 5V is sufficient to turn most amplifiers on... It should be 12V optimally.
If the amplifier is not turning on with the ant. remote, the problem is with the amplifier.
