Whiripool Duet washer GHW9200 gasket has come partially off
I have had the Duets since 2006. Last December the rubber gasket came completely off, and made a real mess in my laundry room. I had a repair man come out. He replaced the part and things were okay, until today. I called them and they said they only guarantee their work for 90 days and 30 days for the part.
Since the gasket is only partially off and not damaged in any way, I was hoping someone could get me some step by step instructions on how to reattach it. Does anyone have any info?
The repairman want to charge me again!!!!

probably your door then, look at the door itself, at the latch is it broken? should form a complete square hole with four sides. if broken some part is probably inside lock asm. if complete, look at lock and determine if its in the lock position with door open, a arm will be up preventing the latch from going in. replace as necessary. Old duets (red lights) use standard lock asm same as GE and samsung. New duets (green lights) use whirlpool/new maytag unique asm. New locks come in two interchageable models, German (made in china) and Mexican, Mexican model is more troublesome, get german. If lights flash during a cycle or other time, its giving a code, note the F code displayed
It sounds like basket support failure. How old is the machine? They usually **** at around 5 to 6 years. Unless you are going to fix it yourself or it's under extended warranty, junk it.
The repair requires a complete teardown of the washer. two to six hours labor depending on tech skill level.
HAVE U CHECKED THE INLET SCREENS TO SEE IF STOPPED UP? OR IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT ATMOUNT OF WATER TO SIZE UR WASHING? DUETS R WATER CONSERVERTING. YOU MAYBE OK
unplug. open the bottom panel,3 screws on bottom check the drain plug , remove the plug , mop up water , look inside for clogs , look above the ball, look inside the propellers, spin the pumps propeller by hand. reassemble. close panel. finally . feel around the inside of the front rubber gasket for items.
Is it off at the tub or at the front around the door?
