SOURCE: rolled hem or rolled edge

You need to disengage the cutting blade by openingfirstly opening the front and left hand side covers. pull on the larger of the two silver knobs and slide the red lever towards you. I'm not sure what the tension settings are, but I'm certain you need to reduce them a fair bit to aid in the rolling effect. I only use 3 threads when doing a rolled hem.
My description isn't too detailed but I hope it helps!

SOURCE: rolled hem on chiffon

Turn under the edge just about 1/4" and do a rolled edge then you can go back and trim off any of the folded under fabric that may show. Also, this keeps the hem from pulling away so easily. You may also try putting some water soluble stabilizer under the fabric before you serge.

SOURCE: Necchi Heavy Duty Sewing machine model 3205FA,

Generally when the needle does not pick up the bobbin thread, it means the needle is either too far in or just plain the wrong length. YOu might want to try lowering the needle just a hair and see if that helps.

SOURCE: Using twin needle with Janome dc3050

you can just use the straight stitch. If you want to use a fancy stitch you have to be careful that the throw, as I call it is not too wide as you could break the needles and put the timing out. Also use a longer stitch than normal. Also use the stretch twin needle.

If you scroll down to "Serger," and download Workbook 1, there are instructions in there for setting up a rolled hem.

Your machine differs but the way it functions is very similar--at least the settings should be helpful.

I have been given a Bernina funlock 007d and would like to be shown how to thread the machine, I live in Parklands Cape Town

Although not your model, the models do not change much. Just be sure to raise the presser foot when you thread the machine and thread each thread in the proper order (upper looper first, lower looper second with thread draped over the upper looper, then the needles).

How do i create a rolled hem using my Platinum 750?? Do i need a special presser foot?

by rolled hem I imagine that you are trying to put something like rope in the hem to make a round edge
You can buy a 1/2 foot that allows the needle to get close to what ever is making the roll

I need help in good tension for rolled hem in empisal 606D overlocker

Your owner's manual should have instructions for rolled hem settings. My Bernina manual has a the following settings:
Medium weight fabric
80/12 Universal needle
3 cones serger thread
Upper looper 3-5
Lower looper 7-9
Left needle (no thread)
Right needle 3-5
Stitch length 1-1.5
Cutting width 2-3
Differential feed N

Can use woolly thread in the upper looper, but the tension may need to be loosened since the woolly nylon thread will stretch.
