Bose Acoustimass is a bandpass cabinet. Needs to be sealed. I recommend to send it to a service center.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Is there a product like WD 40, only for stuck terminal tabs. Mine are stuck on Bose accoustimass 3 speakers . A terminal tab is pushed in, will not pop back out, and the wires will not stay...

Never use WD40 or any other petroleum product on anything electronic including the terminals. You may have to remove that terminal and repair or replace it. Good luck.

Dont have accoustimass can i substitute

Bose is specific about how speakers are designed and how the seperate units are connected. It is easy to damage a Bose speaker that is suposed to be connect to a base reflex unit. The base speakers filter out the low frequency that will destroy the small speakers, and speakers that are too large will damage the base unit.
These units can be mixed together only in certain ways, none of which Bose will aporove or honor warranty if you violate the terms of use. Bose systems in the home theater market receivers are specific, and cam damage the amplifiers if you try to mix other speakers with the system.

Error code 10 during sound calibration

Please ensure that you have turned on the Accoustimass module, this can cause communication errors when calibrating. Also check that all connections are correctly plugged in as if one is not quite sat right this may give the error, just try unplugging them and plug them back in.

HOW DO I REMOVE THE COVER TO BOSE ACCOUSTIMASS 15?

Your speakers are more than likely similar to my Pioneers. To do any work on them you have to very gently, with a tiny screwdriver, pry of the metal speaker grill evenly all the way around. If this is the case, take you time and be very patient as to not bend the grill. They are put in tightly so the sound doesnt shake them lose. At the service centers they usually just install new grills. Hope this helps. Steve

Problem connecting Onkyo Amplifier to Bose Accoustimass speaker system

This is probably correct as modern equipment uses electronic volume controls rather than potential dividers the range is normally biased towards the bottom end so there is lots of the range that is quiet and a smaller part that is loud.

Unless you find that at the top of the volume range the system does not seem to be loud then it is probably correct. It is not uncommon for modern equipment to clip at 80 / 90% of the volume range. Where as old style equipment with volume pots used to clip at arround 30% of the volume range as it gave the apperance there was loads of extra volume available. In fact all that happened if you turned it up louder was it clipped more and more.

Regards,
Andrew

Bose - Custom EQ Error: 10

Hi, I have just had the same problem and the advice from BOSE was to turn everything off and disconnect the sub from the main unit, wait 10 mins and turn everything back on, making sure to turn the sub on first.

As it happens i then noticed I had connected the sub via the BOSE link speakers plug to the main unit rather than the correct "MAIN" socket. - so if you are reading this you know I am a fool! But the sound now works.

Basically BOSE confirmed the reason for error 10 is that the main unit is not detecting the sub and speakers.

Anyway, I hope my foolish mistake, helps save time and blushes for anyone reading this link.
