Can't accept my hdmi cable via laptop, keeps saying no signal

Are you enabling the external display feature? The HDMI must be enabled from the laptop keyboard before it will output. This is done with the "Fn" Key (lower left next to Windows key + the F5 key. This is a 3-way toggle. The default is normal screen. First toggle switches to external (HDMI), second toggle to both screens, and the third back to normal.

This excerpt from your User's Guide:

<Fn> + <F5> Display toggle
Switches display output between the display screen,
external monitor (if connected) and both.

I got 32 inch 3dtv and it only lets me have 1 hdmi connected at a time even tho theres 3 ports

You should be able to use the 3 HDMI inputs at the same time, just toggle between them using your remote control and accessing the set's menu.

Proview flattscreen t.v light turns on but no picture

Check that your inputs are set correctly. If you are plugged into HDMI 1 (for example) then you need to be on HDMI 1 on the TV. You can toggle through using your remote by pressing the INPUT/SOURCE button.

How do I hook a an external monitor up to a hp dv6 1355 with a cracked screen?

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=4043282&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

Product information > Product specifications > Product specifications;

External Ports:
1 VGA (15-pin)

Manuals > Notebook Tour - Windows 7;

Left-side Components - External Monitor Port
Left/Rear side of laptop,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector

You can use a CRT type of monitor (Looks like a small TV), or a flat LCD screen monitor if it has a VGA cable.

(You can also use an HDTV if it has an HDMI port, and you have an HDMI cable. The HDMI port is on the Left side of the laptop, too.

{Don't buy an HDMI cable that is expensive. Just a waste of money.
Those gold plated parts are just a little bit better, than an HDMI cable that doesn't have it. $20 for an HDMI cable is PLENTY. (12 Feet) I use one's that cost less )

A) Laptop OFF, monitor (External display device) OFF.
Connect the VGA monitor to the VGA port, on the laptop.

Turn the monitor on. If a CRT type allow it to warm up.
Turn the laptop on.

There ARE at least 3 display options available;

1) Internal monitor ONLY
2) Internal monitor AND external display device (VGA monitor in this example)
3) External display device ONLY

Press, and hold the Fn key down, tap once on the F4 key.
(The F4 key is the Display Toggle-Over key)

Wait a few seconds.
Still no?
Hold the Fn key down again, and tap once more on the F4 key.

I am trying to connect my samsung sound bar to my new sharp equos 60 inch LED (Model: LC-60LE600U) an optical cable. I have a direct tv receiver and blue ray player hooked up with hdmi cables. I have...

I just got this TV 3 weeks ago. I noticed the AUDIO issue too.
Every power up, HDMI change etc, I would have to go into the MENU/OPTION/ and toggle the PC IN/HDMI IN setting to get my Optical OUT AUDIO working.

WARNING:

DO NOT UPDATE TO THE NEW FIRMWARE. :(
Tonight I decided to do the Firmware Update on this AQUOS LC-60LE600U with hopes that my audio issues will be fixed.

WRONG... Now I have NO Digital Optical OUTput, and worse, the trick to Toggle (PC IN/HDMI IN) No longer works!!

So now I am out of luck and NO LONGER can use OPTICAL OUT for any of my Dish Network Satellite TV Viewing.

I called SHARP AQUOS Tech Support , firt Rep sucked , had nothing but stupid responses like , use RCA Audio OUT.

Or just plug your OPTICAL OUT from your Dish Network HopperDVR Directly to my A/V Home Theatre Receiver.

I may have to do that afterall!!!!!!! But this simply Bypasses the PROBLEM and doesnt resolve my TV Optical Out Problem.

Then I called , talked to a Very nice guy named Travis. He explained it.
I hope some of you can explain it to be better, but here is what he said.

HDMI has some kind of Digital Content Protection, LLC provides HDCP (which was developed by Intel) for HDMI.
apparently this is the JIST of this he said. Exoplaining some issue where Powers That Be, (BIG MOVIE CORP) or such want to make it so Digital Audio cant pass from HDMI to OPTICAL as easy???????

I dont get it. So it was never supposed to ....... BUT.. The (PC AUDIO IN/HDMI IN) Toggle trick made it work.

Turns out the NEWER Firmware Fixed it so the Toggle Trick WONT WORK.
I cant imagine this is going on. How many Millons of TV Viewers experience this? There has to be more to it than this.
My HOPE..... is to find the OLD Default Firmware for this TV, cause even though a Hassle to TOGGLE on the AUDIO, better than NO AUDIO NOW ! ARGH!!!

Please, if anyone can provide ANY info or firnware files for our AQUOS LC-60LE600U I would be SO MUCH HAPPIER.

Hope this helps everyone!

Laptop to tv via hdmi cable suddenly stopped working

Maybe your tv's input is not set to hdmi. Also make sure you reboot the laptop. You might have to Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the display. The correct key that toggles the display will have CRT/LCD on it or it might have the icon of a display.

TV not recognizing my laptop through HDMI

Did you change the TV's Input to HDMI?

Maybe you will have to toggle the display on the laptop. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN key then hit the correct F1 through F12 key that toggles the display. The correct key to hit will normally have LCD/CRT on it or it might have the icon of a display.

Hi, I've just purchased a Hanspree SV32AMUB for my Dell monitor. The TV doesn't pick up the signal even though the PC is connected to the HDMI-1 port, and I've set the input to HDMI-1. C

I assume HANSPREE SV32AMUB is an external monitor and you want to watch what is on your laptop PC transferred to your TV. If this is the case Toggle the Fn key on your laptop.

EXPLAIN IN DETAIL WHAT YOU HAVE AND WHAT YOU WON'T TO DO. I'M A LITTLE CONFUSED

Most laptops have a "toggle":
* output video only to internal LCD screen,
* output video only to external HDMI port,
* output video to both internal & external.

Set the "toggle" to the best value.

How do I connect my laptop to a Sony Bravia model KDL-40S4100?

Two options are available to you-

1. Through VGA Cable(Same cable which goes from CPU to PC Monitor)- For Video.
Take to PC Mode from MENU -> EXTERNAL I/P -> PC.

2. Through HDMI Cable.
Take to HDMI Mode from MENU -> EXTERNAL I/P -> HDMI.

If Still No Video
CASE1- 'NO Signal' Message Comes, then toggle the laptop screen with Function Key (depending upon laptop company).
CASE-2- 'Un-Supported Signal' Message comes then adjust the resolution to 1024*768 or 800*600 or as mentioned in Manual.

Please intimate me if any other problem comes after that.
