SOURCE: My 2001 Mazda tribute's ac

hi.

the most common problem with ac systems is not enough refrigerant.
you can either buy cans of the refrigerant and add it yourself, or get an air conditoning specialist to do it and check the system completely.

prices vary widely depending on your location so it is very difficult to give an idea but it is not that expensive. it is worth asking around and getting prices for a specialist, and for doing it yourself.
in some places, it is actually cheaper to get it done professionally.

How to properly bleed the cooling system

Allow the vehicle to run with the rad cap off adding coolant as necessary until the upper and lower rad hoses are hot indicating the thermostat is open. This can become a messy job as trapped air will push coolant out and make for a good coolant spill. There is a special filling funnel that attaches to the radiator neck available at most part stores that helps to illiminate the amount of coolant that will come out and spill

My mazda tribute pushing out the coolant via reservoir when I run the machine hot

That could be too much coolant, or more likely a faulty radiator cap.
Hope this helps.

Bleed air out cooling system

The air within the radiator should bleed out naturally after you've run the car up to operating temperature. Allow the car to cool off before removing the radiator cap and refill until full; as the radiator fluid circulates throughout the system, the excess air will rise to its highest point which is the expansion tank or radiator cap. Most radiator caps are located on the expansion tank but do not open the cap when hot due to the pressure build up within the system; if you're not sure if it's cool enough use a large rag or towel and cover the cap in case of pressure release.

Look in the owners manual. The proper type will be listed, or under the hood might be a sticker, or labeled on the radiator cap.
