SOURCE: JVC GZ MG20u need to recover deleted video of grandson's birthday

You can recover but it's not 100% sure unless those deleted videos are not fully overwritten(if you continue to take ).

First of all, DO NOT take any more videos with the memory card or stick that you want to recover from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of video recovery.

Then take some video recovery software to see if you can recover some or all of your deleted videos. Take the software and see?
If you are running Windows, turn to this video photo recovery software.
If you are running Macintosh, refer to this Mac data recovery program.

Just install the program on your computer, then connect your cam memory card and start to the scanning process.

Lastly you should remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to your Nikon memory card until you can recover your pictures to safely!
Happy the holiday! Greetings

SOURCE: PC problem, I cannot save a downloaded file

Your problem is usually due to UAC (User account controls) preventing you from saving files to your hard drive. Under Control Panel / Users, you can change your settings (provided you are listed as an Admin ) to allow you to save files.

Another issue could by your anti-virus software preventing what it has determined to be a possibly harmful file from being downloaded/saved to your machine.

SOURCE: I accidently deleted all of the videos on my Flip HD Mino while trying to save to my PC. Can they be recovered and how? Thanks

You may try this camcorder video recovery which helped me before. You can download trial for free

Please be noted that your flip HD Mino memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

I just want to download the correct ethernet driver to a cd or usb drive so that i can install this on another computer.Every time i try to download a drive the only option is to install it on the computer...

Hi, when selecting how to download the driver don't choose Dell Download Manager but Download using Firefox or Internet Explorer. In Firefox you can select Tools->Download's in menu and right click on the file you downloaded and select "Open containing folder".Then the file it points to is the file you need to copy onto the external drive. Similar with Internet explorer when you are downloading the file it will ask for location and just select the external drive in the explorer window that opens up.

How does download work?

A download is when you retrieve a file from an external storage location. This could be a local drive you have or from a provider via a website. Typical downloads are those that are music files, drivers for devices, and documents. There are also voluntary and involuntary downloads. Voluntary is when you choose to add a driver or document to your device. Involuntary is when a cookie or other file is added to allow functionality of a program or website. Usually to download any of the above (except involuntary) you will be given a DOWNLOAD button to click on or otherwise choose. If operating a Windows based operating system you will be asked to SAVE or RUN the file. Saving the file places a copy on your computer to be opened, ran, etc. at a later time. Choosing RUN places a copy of the file in a temporary location on your PC and then executes the action such as installation of a program. When the installation is done if you chose RUN then the temporary file is automatically deleted. If you chose SAVE then even when you execute the file action the file stays on your computer. Be careful of what you download and the source of the file. Some downloads contain virus or other malware that will negatively affect your computer. If you utilize virus software the best option is to SAVE the file and then scan it via the antivirus software prior to executing the action. Final comment... Limewire, Youtube, Bittorrent etc are notorious for INFECTED downloads... you should be very cautious if you use these sites. Manufacturer sites like HP, Dell, Apple and sites like CNET are safe bets for files and drivers.

My netbook runs slow and freezes

There are many reasons for slowness and freezing. Computer specs (ram, processor speed, connection speed)) could be not enough for today's internet.

Internet cache, temporary internet files, temporary files should be cleared.

Try defragmenting the hard drive.

And try downloading a program like CCleaner from Piriform.

I want to speed up my computer. How do I do that?

A couple of things to do, you can add more memory if you do not have it at the max. You can delete your temp files. (Go to My Computer, right click on the C: drive and select properties, then select Disk Cleanup tab.) After the cleanup has ran, I would defrag the hard drive as well so the pc can locate files easier.

Good luck
