Does it have a ground protect circuit on? if it does you have to open and clean it with acetone and a tooth brush or replace the plug.

Fell my xperia s in salt water

This happened to my phone once, I just took it apart (the bits I could, sim card, battery, cover etc) then dried it for quite some time with a hairdrier (on a cool setting) then left it over night apart. Put it back together in the morning and it worked. I'm guessing there was still water/ moisture inside of it to stop it working..

My samsung sph m350 took a swim in the hot tub...got the back dry, but there is still water in the lcd part how do i take it apart to dry it? phone is not working. thanks.

i personally wouldn't risk further damage by taking it apart to try and dry it off. one trick i use and it may seem silly but does work is to soak it in uncooked rice for a few hours the rice will pull out the water after some time and can help the device work. If the device had been submerged or soaked for any substantial amount of time with the battery in it, it may be a lost cause fyi.

How to fix a d.s whith water in it

not much you can do if it was on when submerged it most likly shorted a fuse or more

if it happen recently and was not powered up when submerge and not tried since (fix) best if taken apart but can do while together
submerge DS in destilled water ... I know sounds crazy but it doesnt have minerials that cause corroding on boards etc that tap and well water have ... let it completely dry for a few days it should power up and be fine.

Works with cell phones etc

Pump trips GFI when submerged

Check your power cable for any hole and damage, that might be the problem

if not
remove the 2 screw where the cable is connect on the pump, gently pull off the ruber from the cord and check if your 3 wire are wet ? and if any water can come out of the cable hole?
if yes you have to take most of the pump appart to make the stator and rotor get dry and also check for any black part on the stator, to make sure it not burn if you cant find any black spot on the part let it dry for a week and spray some air on the stator everyday and your problem will be fix,
At our big factory we use special oven to dry the part quicker

If you have no water that came out from the inside of the pump it has to be the power cable or your breaker the reason why the pump work fine when only the base is submerge is because the pump have less restriction (Water to push) so the engine work is very light compare when she is submerge and have to push so much water alll the way throught the hose.

I can help you if you need more info,

Dropped phone in water

SIM is probably bad or a little wet. but wait and let everything dry out and see if it works. Mine was soaked and the next morning worked fine. at least you probably won't have to buy a new phone.

I droped my nokia 6300 in water

I have a phone that got wet, not totally submerged though and was able to get it working again. I took the phone apart and using alcohol cleaned anything that looked like it could be corroded. Keep in mind that the circuit board is extremely delicate and unless you are accustomed to working with electronics I would stay away from touching the board. The most important thing is to take it apart to allow the nooks and crannies to dry out. I have had friends do that and only that and got them working again. Get the phone apart and blow dry, let sit, blow dry, let sit etc... If you have a dehumidifier you can set the phone near it to help it dry. Do this for several days to a week and then, only then give it another try. If you didn't fry anything already this might work.

Water in GL2 Mini DV Digital Camcorder camera

First water will leave sediment on the lens elements so you will need to dismantle it to clean. Second corrosion will set in on the various parts of the pc boards even if you allow the camera to dry ( inside ribbon cable plugs and underneath some components ; water may also go inside various motors in the camera ). I get this sort of problem on weekly basis in my business and generally speaking the camera cannot be economically repaired . When people walk in with this sort of damage my question is always : " is your camera insured " ?
