Broke mpthe mirror in my WS-55313 Mitsubishi projection tv while moving it. Just wondering how much it will cost to get a new one. Is less than 100 dollars reasonable? We dropped it while moving it and the...

A few notes:

First if the mirror which hangs at a angle facing the screens comes apart it can come forward and smash the inner screen.

The best way to proceed is remove the entire front screen frame:

remove speaker grill on front under the screen (if cloth it should pull out in one piece (a few are two piece).

With it removed look under the bottom front edge of the screen unit--left to right there are several identical screws and you have to remove those.

If the front controls (vary by cabinet style) are in the bottom front of the screen unit there will be wires from them hanging down--should be an inspection plate dead center behind where the grill was.

follow the wires from the front control board down with the inspection plate removed and locate the one or two inline plugs and disconnect them (they pull apart and are marked)

With the screws at bottom of screen frame removed and the keyboard free pull out the frame from bottom and slid up about 4-6 inches the entire frame with the screens still in it.

Do not when you do this twist the frame as you can pop the screens right out.

Set the frame and screens to one side making sure not against the screens and avoid touching the inside screen inside the frame.

You should now be able to see the mirror clearly, be careful if cracked as when you release the screws that hold it in it may come apart and use gloves---broken mirrors are very sharp.

Mirror should if you see the plastic and wood slots for it not be too hard to remove and replace. Vac out any small glass as light from the set inside can reflect onto the new mirror or even the inside of the inner screen and be seen in the picture.

You almost certainly are going to have to get the mirror from Mitsubishi---price it with shipping but since its a 55 inch mirror almost any mitsubishi mirror that size will work perfectly--some shops save them....hint.

Most of those mirrors were at or over 100 dollars and a few sites on the net sell replacements in case Mitsubishi is too high.

Hope this helps and let me know if need advice.

How do i replace the mirror on a 50hm67

Two issues here: one is if mirror broke and fell forward into screen the marks are permanent.

Changing the mirror involves getting entire front of set apart and off--a lot of screws from rear and inside the set---to see what is involved you might want to TRY to search for the service manual for this set---I have done this before and it takes time and care---mirror will be over 100 plus shipping---might want to GOOGLE the model with "mirror"

How do I replace the mirror on a toshiba 50hdx82 ?

Carefully would be the first thing I would say.

The entire front screen unit with its frame comes off from the front of the set and the mirror is attached to the back wall of the set behind it.

If it broke be careful that it did not make scratches on the inside of the screen---they will stand out like a sore thumb it it did.

With gloves (not a bad idea to have a helper) it is attached with strips on at least two sides.

If you get that far make sure no finger prints (gloves ) when you install the new mirror.

Also if it broke get all the pieces out as light from the new mirror will reflect on the broken mirror parts and show in the picture---seen this more than a few times.

Let me know if you have questions.

How to install 2006 xA driver side mirror?

just the mirror or the entire housing ???

just mirror
  • remove old mirror (pry out)
  • unscrew from holder
  • screw new mirror into holder
  • press holder back into housing
entire housing
  • open door
  • pry off mirror shield (might need to unscrew) the shield is inside the door which hides the bolts holding the housing
  • unscrew housing
  • remove power cable (if any)
  • plug in cable to new housing (if any)
  • bolt the new housing in place
  • replace shield.

There is a shadow in the upper left corner of the screen

someone is going to have to look inside by either removing the rear upper part of the set or removing the entire front screen---neither is easy to do. But considering your trouble I would not be surprised if the mirror is cracked---the entire front screens would have to be removed to replace the mirror--special mirror and special handling--I have seen several break when someone is not careful putting in.

Mirror,Outer R/C RT w/assy installation

If the vehicle is indeed a 2004 c-class, then you'll need to take off the door panel to replace the entire mirror assembly. There is a wire that runs from the mirror to the door control module.

How to replace front protective screen..

in order to replace this piece, you will need to take the entire case off of the TV, undo all of the wiring inside, and behind the tube.  Once you have the old piece out, yuo need to put the new one in, be very careful, as a sligt jar could ruin it.  Also be careful to get the wiring right as a wrong cable could ruin not only the new screen you just put in but, ruin the rest of the television.

Epson livingstation 45" tv

I just fixed the problem on my epson 57" living station. The picture is like new. Yo have to clean the dust off of the the 3 lcd lenses. (I'm not sure if thay are actually called lenses)
You can get to these by entering thru the front of the TV. Yes the front. You must remove the screen. There are A LOT of screws. This screen housing covers the entire front of the tv. and you have to remove the back panel and ALL the screws on the back of the tv to get it off. The only electronics that have to be disconnected are the Speakers and the front control panel. They both have snap connectors. After you remove the entire front panel which houses the screen and expose the inside mirror you will see more screws. You must remove those as well to remove the mirror housing. DO NOT REMOVE THE MIRROR FROM THE HOUSING. Note that there is a peg that is next to a screw in thre front of the mirror housing thst you must pull the plastic housing out in that area to release it.After you remove the mirror housing you will see the 3 LCD panels or lenses. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE ANY ELECTRONICS OR SCREWS AT THIS POINT. Use a can of compessed air to spray the dust out of this area. I used a vacume to catch the dust as it flew out in the air. Try to hold the can as upright as possible.Keep hitting it with the air until no more dust comes out. Put the tv back together. As you open up the tv you will see dust everywhere. I took the oppurtunity to clean as much as I could. The Mirror though was clean an I was afraid to touch it.

I am a Construction Salesman yet fairly handy. I have no electricle experience. This took me 2 1/2 hrs. I spent the first 45 min. trying to get to the lcd panels from the back of the tv. Don't waste your time. You can't.
