Problem connecting to internet while pc and ps3 are hooked simultaneously

I think the broadband connection you are using is not enabled for NAT ( Network Address Translation).
This is required to give internet access to more than one system through a single internet connection.

If NAT is not enabled or supported by your broadband router then you cant access internet through more than one system simultaneously.

My lynksis router can detect the signal of the broadband connection but it cannot access the internet. when u try to browse any website it always says 'Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server...

This sounds like the router does not have DNS settings.

Check the web configuration to make sure that the DNS settings are valid. If there are DNS servers in there, try changing them to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and see if you still get the same problem.

Hope this helps!

Ive got verizon wireless broadband for my lap top and cant seem to be able to get online with ps3

Can you provide more information?  The Verizon Wireless broadband access is for your laptop only.  In order for the PS3 to take advantage of it, you'll have to setup Internet Connection Sharing on your laptop. That way your PS3 can connect to your laptop via your laptop's wireless connection (in Ad Hoc mode since you don't have a wifi network) and access the internet via the VzW Broadband Access.

Wireless router says its working laptop says no its not

Your sister was accessing the wireless access point at school which is connected to the Internet/WEB access via a router and the school's broadband service provider.
For you to access the Internet using your wireless adapter on your laptop, you need your own wireless access point and connect it to a broadband ADSL or cable modem and then connect it to an Internet Service Provider. Some Internet Service Providers (cable and ADSL) can supply a combined modem/router/wireless Access point.
If you already have a broadband modem all you need is a wireless access point/router. You only need to configure the wireless access point and your wireless adapter so they will communicate with each other. Folow the instructions in the manuals.

No internet connection through routers (broadband AND wireless)

Try to disable any firewalls on your computer. If you already have internet details showing, there's something blocking your connection which is possibly a firewall. Turn off the Windows firewall as well as Norton, Mcafe, Zone Alarm and the like if you have one.

Bypass your Base Station, and connect your computer directly to your broadband modem. ? If you can access Internet Web sites as expected, the problem is most likely in the settings on your Base Station or on your computer. ? If you still cannot access the Internet, there may be a problem with your modem settings. Contact your ISP, or see the documentation that came with your broadband modem. If your network is functioning correctly internally, and you still cannot access Internet Web sites, there may be a problem with your DNS settings. To configure your DNS settings, you must know what the correct DNS settings are for your Internet Service Provider (ISP). See your ISP or the documentation that they provided when you signed up for service with them. To resolve this issue, following these steps: 1. Open the Microsoft Broadband Networking Utility (BNU), click Base Station Management Tool on the Tools menu, and then log into the Base Station Management Tool. 2. In the Base Station Management Tool, click Wide Area Network in the navigation list. 3. Select the appropriate type of Internet connection under Internet Connection Type, and then type the appropriate information.
