What model Uniden DECT 6.0 phone/answering machine?

Are you sure the message in on your answering machine and not a voicemail system provided by your telephone company? Many telephone companies offer a voicemail system that takes messages if someone calls while you're already on the phone.

I have a telepghone set - Model # KXTG 1061 and can't change the voice message. My phone # has changed and I need to re-rerecord the greeting. I have only a button that says CID and Menu. How do I...

If you want to change the greeting for the answering system, make sure that it is on. Press Ans On on the base to toggle the answering system on or off. (Alternatively from the handset, when in idle mode, press Menu. Then press # 3 2 7 and the press the Off key. This turns the system on.)

To record a greeting message, press Menu. Then # 3 0 2 and use the up/down arrows to choose Yes. Then press Select. After you hear the beep, hold the phone about 8 inches away from you and speak your message clearly. Press Stop to end the recording (max length of 2 minutes and 30 seconds). Then press Off. To play back the greeting, press Menu # 3 0 3 . Press Off when done.

The manual for the telephone is available here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXTG1061-MUL.PDF .

How do i change outgoing answer phone message

Solution for Fax1360, if this does not work please let me know as this process should be the same.

Recording an outgoing message (OGM) on an external TAD 7

Timing is important in recording this message. The message sets up the ways to handle both manual and automatic fax reception.

a Record 5 seconds of silence at the beginning of your message. (This allows your machine time to listen for the fax CNG tones of automatic transmissions before they stop.)

b Limit your speaking to 20 seconds.

c End your 20-second message by giving your Fax Receive Code for people sending manual faxes. For example: 'After the beep, leave a message or send a fax by pressing *5 1 and Start.'

Recommendation: recommend beginning your OGM with an initial 5-second silence because the machine cannot hear fax tones over a resonant or loud voice. You may try omitting this pause, but if your machine has trouble receiving, then you must rerecord the OGM to include it.

I keep rerecording the out going message for the system and it dosent change how do I get the message to take and why does it keep asking for a selector code

Selector codes are the codes that tell the system to do a certain task then that digit is pressed(press 1 for bob, 2 for nancy). If your not changing any of the digits, press *# to get to the part to record the main greeting. Press 1 to start and 1 to finish. Make sure that you press # to save the recording or it will use the old recording.
