Question about Craftsman Sears Liftmaster Garage Door Opener Safety Beam Sensor Kit 41a5034

Open Question

Craftsman garage door opener does not work everytime. can someone give me some tech support?

Garage door opener model #139.53993 dm will not work everytime. i changed to a different source of electricity and that made no difference. after it did not work or light up i banged it with my hand and the lights came on and when i pushed the button the door opened. when i pushed the button with the lights still on it went down. when i waited for the lights to go off it would not work again until i banged it with my hand again. it seems to me that maybe there is a bad relay or something. i took the cover off and there is 120 volts to the connections ok.

SOURCE: Sears 41A4315-7E garage door opener trouble codes.

4 FLASHES TELLS YOU THAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE SAFETY EYES.

THEY MAY BE OUT OF ALIGNMENT OR HAVE A DIRTY LENS.

BE SURE THE EYES ARE CLEAN, MOUNTED SOLDILY AND AIMED CAREFULLY.

THE LEDS SHOULD BE LIT BRIGHT AND STEADY (NO FLASHING OR FLICKER)

NOTE: IF SAFETY EYES ARE MOUNTED TO THE TRACK THEY MAY MOVE OUT OF ADJUSTMENT AS THE DOOR GOES UP AND DOWN. - ADJUST TRACK

HOPE THIS HELPS

SOURCE: I have a craftsman garage door opener and recently

Anytime a door opens and/or closes randomly or doesn't work consistently I look for a smashed wire between the motor unit and the wall button.

If the wire is smashed the insulation becomes so thin that power will leak thru the insulation and activate the door or interfere with the remote signal.

Loosen the staples with a small screwdriver and slide the wire about ½ inch to move any areas of thin insulation away from the staples.

The second thing would be a bad wall button or a remote with a sticking button.

Or a remote in someone

I have Craftsman garage door opener model 139.53675SRT2.I have two remotes which all of a sudden will not work. Wall pad works, and keypad works. What gives?

1. Check batteries in the remotes.

2. Someone may have reprogrammed the opener without realizing it. Look at the instructions for the unit and follow directions on matching the remotes to the opener. This may involve setting some tiny DIP switches in the opener and the remotes.

All garage door openers have a quick release. Have you checked to make sure that is locked in place? Most have a cord hangin from it and you pull it which releases it from the chain. Make sure that is engaged and it should work.

The garage door opener inside the garage doesn't open or close the garage door. How do I diagnose? The model # is: 41A5389-1B

The model number you give is a part number for the logic board. Does your remotes work? Is it only the wall control that isn't working?

Garage door opener model 139.53985 DM opens only about 2 feet then stops then closes when the button is pressed again; will open when I put pressure on the door and continue that pressure all the way up.

On the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find the 'up force' control. Increase this a bit and try. Make sure you don't have a broken door spring.

That doesn't seem to be a good model number for Sears. Double check it and then you can call 800-528-5236 which is Sears tech support for garage door openers. They should be able to help you. Or if you are having a problem you can post that and we will help.

With a Premium Control Console, this feature may be turned off as follows: With the opener lights off, press and hold the light button for 10 seconds, until the light goes on and off again.
