SOURCE: My sandisk 2gb pendrive gets detected but does not show memory

Firstly, it may be because of a virus infection. But you can try opening pen drive by typing its path( i.e. letter) in the explorer address bar and see if you can go there. If you can not, try formatting it and you should also check errors on it by right clicking on it> propeerties> tools> check now. Mostly a virus infection is the prime cause, so either format it (not with quick one) or scan it with good some anti virus.

SOURCE: My sandisk 2gb pendrive gets detected but dosnt show memory.

Sorry to say it.... In ma point of view it would be becoz of virus which has attacked both pendrive as well as ur system...

Just verify in pendrive whether it shows folders of ur c:/ drive.... if it is so den it is confirmed tht d virus has been attacked... first u just format ur system vth xp r vista cd and plse install virus software.... like norton r bitdefender so tht ur computer would be full secured...

If there s any doubt u can rep back to me...

You need to re-format your Flash Drive. The default is FAT32 which only allows files of up to 4GB to be transfered. If you reformat to NTFS, ANY size file can be copied to your FLASH DRIVE.

WARNING ! ! By reformatting, you will loose ALL your data on your Flash Drive. Good Luck

SanDisk Cruzer Micro 2GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive now tells me that it is a read only file. I copied a file and renamed it. Now when I do new work I get a message that tells me I have a read only disc or

Open a command prompt and remove all file bits.Windows Button > type CMD and press enter.
  • CD <drive letter:\> press enter
  • attrib -R -A -H -S <file path\file name>

This will clear the read-only bit, archive, system and hidden bits.

Also right click the file and go to security and make sure you have write permission to the file.

Also verify this flash drive doesn't have a physical write protect switch

Bought 4gb sandisk cruzer flash drive stored music from computer but it won't play the music on the car fm transmitter

a flash drive is used mainly for storing of files, you need a device that will play the files you want, in this case a device that plays mp3s and either transfer your music to/through it.
Unless your transmitter states that it plays different media formats that is but i have never heard of that before.
hope this helps.

I have a .pst file that is 5 GB which I am trying to copy to a sandisk flash drive cruzer 8 GB. I keep on getting an error message stating the the file is to big for the destination file system. What...

Two possibilities:

1. you already have more than 3GB of files on the SANDISK.
So, delete some files, or "burn" them to a CD/DVD disk,
so that you have at least 5 GB of "free" space available.

2. the "file-system" (the way that the "table-of-contents" is laid-out on the SANDISK) limits the size of a single file to 2GB.
The "file-system" on your 'C:' drive does *NOT* have that identical limitation (it does have a "maximum-file-size", but it is MUCH larger).

Open Outlook, and "compress" all the folders.
Perhaps, the PST file will shrink to less than 4.7 GB.
If it does, then you can "burn" that file onto one DVD-writable disk.

Stopped working COMPLETELY!!!!

Had same problem.

I wiggled back and forth the part that goes into the USB port and the drive was recognized and I could copy my files onto my hard drive.

I had this problem with a different make USB flash drive and used the same procedure to get the files back.

I think that some connection inside the flash drive works loose after a while.

I am not going to trust these drives for files storage, but only to transfer files.
