Question about RCA RTS202E 200W Home Theater Sound Bar with built-in DVD Player
It won't turn on. When I unplug it for awhile and turn it back on the blue standby light turns on, but when I try to turn it on or touch any other button it shuts off again?
There are many issues that may be at play here. Most likely, you are experiencing DC Offset(meaning you have a damaged amplifier). For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Do you have a DVD in the player? If an incompatible region code disc was left in the player upon shutdown, it will cause your particular system to lockup. Your unit has a 1 year warranty, and you can easily obtain over the phone help from RCA by calling 580-634-0366 and have your unit?s date of purchase and model/serial number ready. The model/serial number information is on the back of your unit. During your phone call the Technician will determine if you should receive a replacement unit, and if so, will provide you all of the relavent information and a Service Request Number for your tracking convenience. Keep this SR# permanently so you can cite your history should future problems arise, also, a helpful tip is should you utilize a Passcode for your system and forget it, the Master Passcode is 9688.

For the noise when it starts try this. Remove cover and you will see a small fan held in place by 2 screws. Remove these screws and then remove fan. On the back of the fan you will see a sticker. Remove this sticker and apply 1...just 1 drop of oil onto the now exposed shaft. Replace the sticker, the fan and the 2 screws.
