That'll be fun. You are aware of static precautions etc.
I don't think in my years of repairing laptops and PC's I have ever had a faulty processor.
Go online and match the processor to your model laptop. When it arrives strip down to the mother board and remove the heatsink and fan assembly. Release the old processor and fit the new one. Clean the heat sink with isopropanol and affix heatsink compound. Refit heatsink and rebuild your laptop,

Dosent work no light


1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.

My laptop wont turn on at once when i press the power button, i have to press it a couple of times then it starts, what do u think might be the problem?

Acer Travel mate 7730 os xp laptop shuts down


make sure processor fan is working fine. you may hear the sound of fan on the left side of the laptop. and make sure its not getting heat soon. If the fan is not working you need to replace the fan. If if gets heat soon that means you have to put processor cooling paste.IF the fan is working fine and the processor heat is normal, then you need to re-fix the RAM. Then it will work fine..ok

Upgrade cpu


you can at most upgrade memory, rarely video, but I never seen ugrading a CPU on a laptop, most of the time the CPU is soldered and the MB does not support upgrade.

Lots of heat by the prossor


hi,
you need to check if the processor fun is actually working. if its working then you need to replace the processor but if its not working then you need to order for the fun to reduce heart on the processor.
