I have a brother 575 and when i would make copies, the film would come out attached to the paper that was copied. well. I opened it up and one of the wheels fell out of somewhere. I can not figure out where to reattach the wheel. 1 in. in length and in the shape of a tube.

Search inside the machine by opening the latch on the right side. Be sure to unplug, as it may be hot. Pull out the film cartridge and look for the missing wheel. Remove and order a replacement cartridge. Shop because prices vary greatly. You can order replacement film rolls or the entire cartridge. In your case, i would go for the entire cartridge. You can find them for under $15.

Check if the thermal ribbon (ink) is finished . Open up the front panel and you will see the black film roll .

I have a Brother Fax-575 that needs ribbon replaced. Can I use a compatible brand which indicates that it meets mfg OEM standards or should I stick with Genuine Brother?

A compatible should be fine. Some of the new Brother laser machines can actually be broken by non-OEM toners, but yours is not a laser. The worst I'd expect from a donor film might be a slightly poorer image. Try it out. If you have to load the film rolls into your old cartridge, make sure it's running the right direction, and with the correct side down.

press function * 2864 with in 2 seconds.............. then feed the white document and press 55............after feedout the paper press 99............. may ur problem solved

Brother 575 fax

The papers you are sending go into the front feeder with the copy facing the back. Then just punch in the fax # and press start.

Copying

you place the paper in the same place as if you were faxing and the paper it's printer in the rear most carrier, but one press of the button indicates you want one copy, pressing it again should then do one copy.
