Re: Key stuck in ignition when in park in 1999 Chrysler...
When the car is in park, push the shifter firmly up past park and keys will come out. This is a very common problem with GM vehicles. The pins wear out easily

Some chrysler vehicle have a button in front of the ignition on the steering column that has to be pushed to remove the key other wise replced the ignition cylinder itself
Something is wrong with your park shift interlock holding the key in. Your gear selector isn't reading the gears correctly because car don't know what gear it's in.
first thing to try would be to remove car from park to a gear and then put firmly back into park...... then retry, if doin that a few times dont work, you will prob need to replace the ignition cylinder....... make sure it appears gear selector levers parts are all in their place,, visually that is
Keep gently trying while moving the steering wheel and jiggling the shifter. Is the car actually in park. If no luck then to the shop it must go. If you get it out do not put that key back in....get a new one at the dealer made from the vin.
Try makeing sure the shifter is firmly in park. If the shift cable gets slightly out of adjustment the key may not come all the way to the off positon.
