Is there any way to fix blown speakers on toshiba TV/DVD Combo MD20F52?

Replace the speakers, or use external speakers if there is a place to connect them.
It would be unusual for more than 1 speaker to go bad at the same time.
I would suspect the sound amplifier inside the TV. If the TV has Audio output connections, you can hook them to anything in your house that has an audio input.(stereo, boombox, computer, etc)

Blown? all sound is distorted. Upon exiting the auto speaker calibration mode, I hit the video input from my tv and got a BLAST of static, volume set itself to 54... now everything is distorted. speakers...

No product information being given for either the (amp?) or the TV we can only guess. You should look at the manuals first to make sure your TV's audio isn't a digital bitstream fed into an analog input.

Bad fuse?? A blown fuse will result in silence.

We left for a short trip and when we came home our brand new sanyo flat screen tv spekers sound blown. Could it be because it got really cold in my house? Are the speakers blown?

Yes,could be did it drop to 40 to 30 in your house?Tries tv unplug, replug back about and hour later. Now,the tv is resetting back to the factory setting.Go into the tv Menu go to AUDIO SETTING,going to resetting. These process, will help have audio again.

I think my speakers are blown on my sony 53 inch rear projection tv can I run the sound through my home theatre and bypass the blown speakers?

check your audio menu on your tv. mine can turn off the speakers and sends the audio signal out the rca's when the speakers are off.

My tv turns on and I can see the picture just fine but there is no sound. I tried testing the volume settings but no luck. Could the speakers have blown out?

COULD BE, THE BEST WAY TO TEST IS, IF THERE IS A PROVISION FOR HEADPHONES THEN PLUG IT, IF YOU CAN HEAR SOUND, THEN ITS YOUR SPEAKERS, IF NO SOUND IN THIS APPLIED STEP.. COULD BE THE AUDIO OUTPUTS, OR FUSABLE RESITORS BLOWN, OR DRY JOITS ON YOUR AUDIO IC..CHECK OUT

No sound

So your sound doesn't work for TV now or while watching a movie? Can you try using audio out on TV to connect to other audio source? I wouldn't think that the audio coming in from TV would stop working, but if audio signal works through TV then the speakers are blown, maybe there is a fuse internally that blew, or both speakers blew at the same time, which is more unlikely. If you are comfortable removing cover, do so and check fuses and for other signs of failure like burn spots or melted solder. Please comment on the results. Also, with cover off, speakers can usually be accessed, so try testing them with another audio source. If speakers still work than TV audio is the problem, and could be difficult to replace on your own, but might be worth repairman. Of course, easier solution is to buy cheap receiver and speakers, I can almost gaurantee that would work. But always keep the receipts anyways ;)
hope this helps.

No sound on PLTV 4250

Easy! If you have a VCR,put a VHS tape in the VCR,run the video cable behind the TV and the audio cable from the VCR to a hi fi receiver/speaker(cd input or tape input.)
If you have sound coming out from the HI FI,go ahead and plug the audio connection along with the video connection behind the tv.If there is no sound, it could be:
A. your TV speaker is completed its mission-;o)Blown speaker.
B. you are on TV MUTE!
C. your audio cable is defective(small chance, cause you have left and right!)
D. your connection was incorrect.

Speakers in a toshiba 35 tube blown

I spent hte whole day moving my girlfriend and the only thing I got out of it was a TV with no sound coming out of it. I turned the speakers "on" in the menu screen, then i used the speaker output of the tv to a stereo or a couple of cheap speakers. Or connect 1 speaker and set the tv to mono. Hopefully your tv has some form of audio out besides the built in speakers. Good Luck

Sound

Did u have audio before ? If so you might have a blow audio amp. If not it might just be a unplugged cable. This model of tv is bad about bad audio problems mainly a blown speaker and blown audio amp.
